Tria - what is the consensus?

Those of you who got the Tria have you had good results or are you sending it back?

I'm undecided, but leaning towards sending mine back. I got my original one in late April, but it stopped working in about a week. They send a replacement, and it is still working, but it's no where near as powerful as it was at the outset. I don't have the tria tan or rough skin, so I don't think I'm getting any benefit from it. I'm looking forward to seeing the replies here.

I am assuming you are referring to the age defying laser? If so, I cannot help. But, I have the hair removal laser and have had absolutely wonderful results (after quite a bit of pain). As a "hairy Italian girl" it has really helped boost my confidence. I also tried their blue laser for skin breakouts, but that really did nothing for me and is collecting dust in my closet.

I change my mind several times a day. I think I'd pretty much decided to return it (I'm three weeks into my rest period) because I didn't see the results to warrant the committment and Tria Tan, but last night...

I did a double take in my mirror. Some very dep wrinkles appeared to have softened noticeably. Noticeably!

So my dilemma today, would another round deliver additional -- more -- results?

I really think I'll be going right down to the wire before I make my final decision. We'll see what the next few days bring.

I'm interested to hear the verdict of others, too!

I still don't know if I will keep mine also. I don't think I see any difference and no one has said anything either. I feel like I should keep it but then again I don't know. I am waiting to hear what most of the other gals are doing.

I know -- it's like "maybe Round 2 will turbo charge the results" so you don't want to live with "what-if"...

The Tria Tan was actually just emphasizing some tanning discoloration I've had for a long time. I'm thinking I'd like to get my skin back to its non-tan-blotch look, and am working on that. But I'm wary that another round will just exacerbate it again.

At the moment, I'm leaning toward returning it. Ask me again in a couple of hours. :-)

Do you notice discoloration? That would be a huge concern and deal breaker for me.

A darkening of the skin. I fondly called it myTria Tan. But it's totally faded back to my pre-Tria shade, which actually had more sun damage than I was paying attention to.

Some people got the "tan", others didn't.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was one answer for every question that would apply to EVERYone?

Haha! Okay, I just went and looked (believe it or not I wasn't sitting in front of the mirror all day looking for a sign! )

I applied the Missha BB cream WAY too heavily this morning, and it looks like I was over-generous with my Hourglass powder, too, so I can't make an objective opinion. Of course the makeup/powder are accentuating my wrinkles, but I know the wrinkles are still there, just seemed LESS deep this morning.

I'll have to see what I think TOMORROW morning after I've taken this off, piled on the products and HOPEFULLY apply my makeup more sanely.

But at the moment, still leaning toward returning. Heaven knows where the packing slip is.

I was thinking of you this morning because I was using (trying to use up!) the Tria cleanser. I liked it, didn't like the the serum, and I know it was just the opposite for you. I dont know if I'd fork over the $$$ for the cleanser on its own (I didn't even use it very often during the treatment). Were you impressed enough with the serum to keep it coming?

Totally keeping mine. The texture of my skin (some days I don't even need primer) and the fading of the sun spots on my face and arms are amazing. But the biggest decision maker...i've been in lots of pictures the last few weeks for birthdays, grads, etc. And it has been a long time since I liked the way I look in pictures. My skin is vibrant and glowing. Normally I cringe when I see pics of myself. More that a few times over the last few weeks, I have seen pics of myself and thought 'you GO girl!' I really didn't expect to see significant change till at least the end of the year. But I am already sold.

Well, it seems the consensus is we're undecided, except for 5pugmom. Great news, 5pugmom, results and no ambivalence...congrats!

Really was dreading that this would be the situation I was in, and now it is here.

Every time I decide I'm sending it back, I remember reading Maren's post that the collagen takes 4 weeks to produce, so that means that the results might appear after the return date. I did consider sending it back and then if the results showed up later, I could order again. QVC should have honored the 120 day return that was originally shown then we could have done the 8 week protocol, the 4 week rest period and have 4 weeks left to show results.

I'm on vacation this week, so I'll make the decision when I get home. Aaarggghhh. Will be watching to see what everyone else is doing.

I'm definitely keeping mine (I bought it on the Tria website though). Maren, I always toss my packing slips and if I have to make a return, I just go online and get the return information from my account and order status information. I've never had a problem.
