Is it true about WEN?

Am on the fence ready to take the plunge with WEN.

I have read that WEN can clog pores and am not going to let that stop me from trying it. What is holding me back from becoming a WEN girl is that I heard it can also clog drains/pipes in your shower.
The last thing I need is costly plumbing bills.

I would greatly appreciate your experiences and opinions so I can make my decision based on facts.

I think it does contribute (with hair) to drain clogs.

I've used WEN since Chaz first came to QVC, and I've never experienced any of the issues you mention.

I did look back and didn't see any recent threads about the pipe/drain issues.

Your last sentence is uncalled for. I didn't blame WEN for anything and am just trying to get advise from woman who use it.

I've been using WEN for over 3 years and I've never had a problem with either issue. In fact it seems like I get less hair out of the sink using WEN.

I do have a concern with hair loss since I am in menopause and have lost some already but I am willing to give WEN a try.

I think the Sweet Almond Mint is where I should start.

It's not personal. We're in the middle of a few wen bashing threads. It gets tiresome. I personally love it. I've only been using it for 4 months but I haven't had any clogged drains, hair loss, etc. I use Wen exclusively now. If you could see my hair you would understand why. Try a discovery kit and see how you feel.

bunny, the posts about clogged drains always appear around the time of Chaz' visits. On the other hand, posts about how happy people are with how their hair looks using WEN are put up here 365 days a year. Maybe that might give you a picture of the overall truth.

Personally, I have used WEN for over 8 years. Never have had a clogged drain, live on a septic system and have never had to have it pumped. I have more hair not less than before WEN so obviously I'm not losing hair down the drain.

I am ordering the Sweet Almond Mint to start and will add one of those discovery kits also. Thanks for your input.

Hi, Bunny- I've used Wen for years, but exclusively since last summer. Never had a problem with hair loss or clogged drains. Just follow Chaz's directions and rinse very well (which you would do with regular shampoo, anyway), and read up on which formulas would be good for your hair type.

bunny, I'm glad you're going to try WEN. I re-read my post and didn't mean to sound so short. June is WEN month and there are a lot of people like you who become interested in trying WEN and then go on the boards and read a lot of posts by some who for whatever reason are only interested in bashing WEN and sometimes people who are truly interested get scared off.

If WEN wasn't the best thing that has happened to my hair, I wouldn't have stuck with it for as long as I have - and I've used it exclusively, never felt the need to try anything else. I enjoy using it, I agree with Chaz' mission to be as natural as possible, is cruelty-free and appreciate that it's made in the USA in a solar-powered plant. All that on top of having healthy, shiny hair that is maintenance free.

Doglvr, wow that was extremely rude.

I'm a new wen user, and I love the results. Zero hair loss,wish I would have started using it years ago then maybe I wouldn't have such damaged hair.
