Ok, does TT really help your hair grow that well?

I rarely watch the Q (turned it on for the first time in MONTHS) to watch for the OTO tonight, and am wondering if TT helps hair grow like crazy, as they say. I've used SAM and a few seasonals. I will say, I don't use WEN exclusively, but more as a second cleans/to condition. I feel like I get the best results this way, rather than traditional use. Also, I use the SAM oil. I have the TSV AD from the fall, but can't change to TT. What I'm wondering is, does the TT really help grow that well, AND if I were to only buy one product, which do you think would help my hair grow the best? CC? Oils? My hair is about an inch below my collar bone (about the longest I've ever had it), and I'd like to grow to b@@b length (just for the heck of it), and have fine hair, but have a decent amount. And I LOVE volume (I'm from the South, people!) I'd just really appreciate any help you girls could give me. Thank you, WENners!

I've never used WEN and don't plan to. But I use Paul Mitchell's TT daily; it works but it doesn't make your hair grow.

Tea tree makes my hair grow fast, but I think the bamboo green tea makes it grow even faster.

The TT Oil does really condition your scalp to grow hair fast, but if you are only going to get one thing, go with the CC. I say that bc if you keep stripping the hair with shampoo but use the TT oil, it will grow but it will break and you'll still feel like you are not getting anywhere. Stopping breakage and split ends is half the battle.

Before Wen my hair didn't seem to grow at all. I could go several months (at least) before I would see the least bit of a difference. Once I started using Wen my hair started to grow more quickly.

When I started using TT CC & oil regularly my hair started growing like a weed. These days it grows more than one inch a month.

TT oil has medicinal benefits that help keep the scalp healthy (anti fungal and antibacterial). TT oil is also an emulsifier so the dried grit and sebum (body oil) gets gently loosened and cleansed off of your scalp. This lets the hair follicles on your scalp breathe more easily.I think this encourages hair growth.

remember the OTO is a 32oz body lotion not a CC

and yes, using TT CC and TT oil makes my hair grow super fast and it has given me new hair growth.

Well I feel it's a two fold thing, growth is great but it isn't everything. If you're damaging your hair other ways it will still result in breakage which negates the great growth rate.

I haven't noticed that TT makes my hair grow any faster, but I don't use the TT oil on my hair as often as some and I think that is where people really notice the difference. I am in the minority because it seems to make everyone else's hair grow like a weed!

Yes, I'm not getting the OTO, as I didn't want the lotion (I have a ton of lotion I want to use up in my stash first!). Thanks to all for your replies! I might try the CC first, then move on to the oil when I use up my other oils. You girls are always great!

I sent my grandmother the tea tree CC and oil when she started developing a bald spot at he crown of her head. She used the oil and CC for months and called to let me know her hair was growing back. One day she called to say she couldn't see her scalp anymore. So now I make sure grandma is never without her WEN.

To answer your question yes. TT does help hair grow faster. And bamboo green tea is on steroids for hair growth!!! I color my hair and with TT had to do it every 6 weeks vs 8 wks. With BGT I need to dye roots every 4-5 wks!!! It is insane.

I use WEN TT oil and CC on a regular basis and my hair doesn't only grow fast, it's filling in, in some areas where it's been gone and getting a little thicker. I just got highlights and lowlights done 2-3 weeks ago and I already have noticeable outgrowth.

Yes!

My hair is thinning in several areas. I have been using Rogaine for Women for over a year in those areas with great results.

I started using Wen Tea Tree cleanser and oil earlier this year. I'm noticing growth all over and I feel new hairs coming in. It's so significant, I stopped using Rogaine in one area.

Another difference between Rogaine and Wen, with Rogaine, my growth is coming in very fine. With Wen, the new growth feels thick, like the rest of my hair.

If you want your hair to grow really fast, use the TT oil on your scalp, TT cc for the first cleanse, and BGT for the second cleanse. It will literally seem to grow overnight. Repunzel, Repunzel, throw down your hair, lol!!!

I use them together, but not at the same time.

On the nights that I use the TT Oil, I use Rogaine earlier. I apply the oil 3 hours later to give the Rogaine time to absorb.

On the days that I cleanse, I make sure my scalp is dry (or not dripping) before applying the Rogaine.

I use Rogaine on my thin areas and Tea Tree all over. I notice more new growth in the non-Rogaine areas. I stopped using Rogaine in one inconspicuous thin area to see what the Tea Tree only results will be.

Here's my belief and I'm sticking to it. Hair grows at an average rate of .5 inch per month. Nothing makes it grow fast; however, keeping it healthy causes less breakage at the ends and it "appears" to be growing faster. I learned that in cosmetology school back in 1963 and have never waivered from that teaching.

Good point, twopeas: .5" is an average, which means that maximum potential will be more or less for everyone.

Also, sticking with .5" as an example, if the scalp (clogged follicles) and hair (breakage) are in bad condition, growth will be minimal. With the healthy hair and scalp that Wen creates, that maximum potential will be reached.

Well said, HonnyBrown!!!

I've had shoulder length hair for years and until I started using Wen I could easily go 3-4 months before I even thought of getting a hair cut (I hate to think of the agony my poor scalp was in ). Since I started using Wen my hair has been growing at more than one inch per month. I would swear that I just got my hair cut a few weeks ago and when I looked in the mirror this morning I realized that I really needed to get my hair cut again.

While I think all the CCs help with healthy scalp & hair, for me, using TT CC and the TT oils (overnight scalp treatments) has been a complete game changer.

Now that's just me, but my mirror doesn't lie
