just buy some conair felt covered hot rollers... I invested in both the short and long calista over priced rollers and they are nothing special. They actually burned my scalp! I wasted all that money and went back to using my trusted Conair.

Are felt rollers better for your hair than the plastic comb-like curlers that Callista Tools uses?

I use the Conair plastic ones all the time and get great results. I recently watched a Callista hot roller presentation, and thought I was already getting all the results she was showing, so why change? One thing I do that I think makes a lot of difference is, I use a hot roller spray as I'm rolling. Adds even more body and lasting curl.

I got a set for long hair when it was a TSV. I tried every which way under the sun but could not get them to stay put. They kept flopping over. Sent them back and have returned to my Conair. If you get them you better know how to set your hair real quick...rollers get extremely hot!

I got Calista hot rollers thought they would be super. There do flop over, they are very hot to touch, no different than my really old hot rollers I already had. What was I thinking? Hype, hype.

I've owned numerous sets of hot rollers over the years. The Calista Hot Rollers have given me the best and longest lasting curl of any of them. I do use some Calista Complete spray before putting the rollers in and they work great.

Heat up in a few minutes, and I only have to leave them in for a few minutes. They leave my hair shiny and in great condition. They also sell a travel set AND they sell boxes of extra rollers should you ever need them. My daughter used them for years and then bought a set for me...we both love them.

Do these rollers add volume, or do they primarily just curl the hair? My hair refuses to hold a curl and I've read the the Callista rollers work well on stubborn hair like mine. I do, however, also need volume - especially around my crown area. I can't see how such thin rollers can do anything to lift the hair like large hot or velcro rollers.

I loved the curl I got from the Calista rollers. My hair does not like to hold curl and after using these it lasted all day and into the next. BUT, I sent them back because 3 weeks into using them one of the prongs to heat the rollers stopped working. For $100 I expect the product to last longer than that.

I was sad to send it back since it curled so well.
