Has anyone tried the eyebrow serums for increasing hair growth and volume?

Hi Ladies,

One of the local salons sells a line that includes an eye brow serum that is touted to increase hair growth, fill in sparse spots, etc. I love the look of a thicker brow (groomed well, of course). I have some sparse spots that I currently just fill in with some light liner or other product. However, if there were no icky side effects (say, hair growing on OTHER parts of my face), I would consider. The SAs say that the product really works.

Anyone?

No I haven't tried anything for the brows. I tried Rapidlash, but had a reaction. They say castor oil works for the lashes so I'm guessing it could work for the brows, too, but a lot cheaper than these assorted concoctions.

I'm wondering why a serum you would be placing on your brows would cause hair growing on other parts of your face? I wish their was some kind of a products that would regrow my sparse brow tails that I overpluck when I was younger.

I have read also that Castor oil mixed with almond oil as a leave in overnight helps regrowth of head hair. I was thinking of trying that for my brows.

I am not sure what product the salon was selling but...

I purchased Rapidlash XL from beauty.com for only $30. I used on my lashes with incredible results. The results were noticeable within 1 week and didn't stop there!!!!

Used on my brows w/ pretty good results. My tails have increased (but not quite enough not to help them a little w/ a pencil still). I don't know what you call the area closer to the bridge of your nose...but I had pretty good growth there! I barely have to fill them in at all. Just shape them a little. Some of my existing healthy hairs grew long enough to need a trim! I truly have new growth in some of the areas on my inner brow where no hair was before.

I used for 6 weeks, everyday....and am now on 'maintenance' 2-3X/wk as recommended by others here on the boards. No weird hairs grew anywhere else.

Kabella-I should have put a little winky smiley next to that statement. I just worry about any and all adverse reactions to stuff. And I can totally picture my brows bring lush and beautiful, while having a full beard.:-0

I have not tried any pharmaceutical products for regrowing eyelashes and eyebrows but have been applying a 50/50 mix of castor oil and coconut oil using a tiny eyeliner brush to my lash line, eyebrows, and two thin areas just above my temples. It has only been about two weeks, so I cannot report significant results, but I think I am seeing a subtle difference. The condition of the hair is improving. I am giving the oils three months. At that time, I will report back to the boards what my results are unless I notice a significant change before then.

I actually just ordered a product called Brow Potion but have not received it yet. It has good reviews. I should be getting it this week.

Well I was using a supplement called ageloss for hair. I googled it and couldn't fund much on it about 6 months ago. I got it at a family run vitamin store where I live. Its 32.00 for about a month. My eyebrows did grow and my barely there eyelashes grew and thickened. That was very important to me. I haven't looked it up recently because I already know it works. Plus I was wondering if I could find it cheaper somewhere. I already buy supplements to run and I juice a lot! Very expensive so I was hoping to find it cheaper somewhere else.

I've read many comments on Youtube (and from many non-professionals) and so many recommend using castor oil and adding avocado oil (seems like a few others might have been named also but can't think what-maybe coconut?) to lashes at night (and I don't see why not eyebrows too). I have not seen any real proof of this, but I plan to try it. It won't hurt.

I've also used RapidLash (from Ulta and other places) on the tail of my left eyebrow. Nothing amazing, but it's definitely less sparse. No unwanted side effects.

I was just told yesterday by a customer at the beauty counter about a product she uses and is thrilled with the results. It is called NeuBrow. Anyone else hear of this product. She swears by it.

Now thats not a pretty picture. LOL!!! How about the commercials for med's and all those horrible side effects?

NuBrow is a line of false eyebrows.

NuBrow is a line of false eyebrows.

Neubrow is a serum. I saw it at Nordstrom.

I saw it at Nordies when I searched on the internet. It is pretty pricey but it appears that it works by causing new hair growth for brows. Sounds good.

Try using Tarte's Maracuja oil. It has worked for me. I barely had any tails to my brows so I never left the house without first filling them in and creating a tail but now although I still groom my brows with some type (currently anastasia dipbrow) of product I can, if I needed/wanted to, leave the house without doing them and feel comfortable. If you are near a sephora stop in a get a sample, you only need a little (one drop is even too much for both brows) so a sample should last you a good while providing you enough time to see if it is working for you. hth

I use generic Minoxidil 2x a day on my eyebrows-works just fine and no, I don't look like a teenage werewolf.
