On 6/1/2014 moonchilde said: As far as the pain aspect, tweezing (which this essentially is) is not painless. If you've ever had a professional brow tweezing or any threading - it feels like it feels. It is the price of having the hair removed, unless one has the time and money to have their entire face lasered. The difference with waxing is the pain is quick - but it's still uncomfortable. I would not necessarily recommend the Emjoi for someone who has never tweezed or waxed, not least because if they haven't, up to now in their life, *needed* to do this, they probably don't have enough unwanted hair to need it, or to experience any pain to get rid of it. Razors or depilatories are fine for many women. If they do for you, you don't need the discomfort of this method. I might suggest having a wax, a tweezing or a threading in a salon and understand that the Emjoi isn't going to hurt much less, if any less. And if you don't need it, you have little to no real idea about the individuals who do need it for a variety of reasons. So it begs the question - if you don't like the device and are posting only to snark at/knock the women who do and are offering nothing else to the conversation, why are you commenting - other than just to be obnoxious?
I believe the answer to your last question is now we know where all the bullies went to from Jr High School! there is an entire thread dedicated to bashing lisa robertson that has actually turned into a thread dedicated to bashing those that dare say something positive about her. it's really quite bizarre

Some conflicting info -- please set me straight. Some women have said they use it all over their face. Emjoy says only the chin and upper lip.

If you have one, and use it all over your face (I'm talking pretty much everywhere up to the cheekbones), what has been your experience?

Thanks!

I have the larger one too and use it all over my face. I'm lazy too, so the great thing about roils ting is I only have to do it every 2 weeks or so, and I'm finding after using it several months I have less hair and what I have is much finer and softer.

It's just like they say, a prickly sensation for me. Some say its a sharper feeling. I feel when it gets a hair now but barely. It gets the peach fuzz fine. I understand this model is better than the one I have

I have the Emjoi Emagine (72 discs) and have never tried it on my face, but did try it on my fine arm hair (and the fine leg hair too) and it just does not pick up those fine hairs. I use it on my legs and have to go over with a razor to get the fine hairs.

I got my Emjoi - same one as TSV - in December. I use it all over my face. That is what I got it for. I use it on my cheeks, above lips, chin, between brows, and neck. No problem using it at all anywhere.

This model is smaller than the other Emjoi (72 disc) I tried and it is better shaped to fit along the curves of the face. I had not had the 72 disc for long when this one came out. I got this one, compared, and returned the 72 disc one.

I also use mine under my arms and on my legs.

I can't say I ever experienced any pain at all. You can feel it catching & tweezing the hairs but painful? No.

Ihave the smaller version for less than $20 and I use it on my chin and neck not on my entire face. But I would assume the only caution is to be careful because it's not a chemical hair remover it's physical.and yes it hurts! But well worth it! The hair removal is for weeks at a time!

If it is a coarse hair it is going to grow back that way.

I never took the razor part out of the package. I'm epilating! Not shaving. Complete waste of money.

I like it better than the other hair removal methods I have tried but I have to use mine a lot. I use it on my face every single morning & I have plenty of peach fuzz by the end of the day. I know Lisa said she has no hair for weeks but that my experience has been that the hair comes right back. I need to use it a few times per week under arms and probably once a week on legs.

the sensation and end result are similar to waxing. The advantage over waxing is more control and no mess its so much easier! just pull out your little device, run it over your chin and cheeks wherever, turn it off and put it away!
