Any Jane Iredale make-up users?

I have always read a lot of good reviews on the Jane Iredale make-up. Many users say it's far better than BE. I never liked BE anyway. Just wondered if anyone has tried it. Dermstore has 20% off this weekend and there's a JI kit I was thinking of ordering.

I love Jane Iredale products, OP. They are "healthy" and I gave some to both my Mom and my sister and they like them, too. They are a little pricey, but worth it. Each mail order is sent with a sprig of lavender, which is a nice touch. Good luck if you try them!

Yes, I have used her line for years. If I only could use one make-up line (except my Blinc mascara), I would use Jane's. I started with the mineral powder and "the Handi brush". The best brush I have ever used. In fact, I have all her brushes.

My favorite eyeshadow color is "SuperNova". But of course, I have several colors.

I love the "Just-Kissed lipstick". The "Lip Drink balm" is the bomb.

Really like the "BB" cream.

One other product that is good, Quad Bronzer. These are great for blush and last forever. I have the "Moonglow" and "RoseDawn". I also use them for eyeshadow and on my lips.

I have been using the Glowtime BB Cream off/on for the last few months. I like it OK, but I'm still searching for my HG foundation. This was expensive (for me) at $48, and I was unable to use any promo because JI products were excluded at the time.

My hair salon carries this line. The only product I've ever tried was a promotional lip gloss. I didn't love it, but I have seen others here that really like the line. What are good products for a newbie to try? TIA

The Glow Time BB Cream I mentioned earlier gets excellent reviews, generally. I absolutely loved the coverage, and it did give me a subtle glow (no glitter). The problem is that the coverage does not last all day, it separates. Because I love the way it looks when first applied, I have been trying everything to make this BB cream last throughout the day. I've used different primers, setting sprays, etc. but nothing really works to "prolong the pretty" all day long. It's a shame because I really want to love this product.

I received a sample of the Just Kissed Lip Plumper lipstick with my order from Skin Store and knew it was special as soon as I tried it. Lipsticks always make my lips break out and the colors they turn are horrible. Jane Iredale's just kissed does none of that. I immediately ordered two more tubes and will try some of her other products.

See if your beauty shop will give you a make-over. Then you can see how the products look.

If you are looking for a great foundation, the pressed mineral powder is great. It will wear all day even in the heat.

I didn't care for the mascara but I'm spoiled by Blinc.

Is there a certain product you would like to find? Or what are some of your favorite things to buy and try?

I don't use anything under the BB cream. I have also found that you need a light touch with this cream. When I was putting it on heavy, I had the same problem. Then I realized that I was just using too much. Then I put a very small amount of powder to help set the BB cream. Hope this may help.

What colors do you wear?

There is a ""Just Kissed"" lip and cheek stain. It is more like a pink lip balm. I really love this one.

I do want to tell everyone that her make-up is good for your skin. To be honest, I don't know why I try other products when most of Jane's make-up products are some of my favorites.

I agree you need a light touch with this, and I've also tried to wear it alone. It still separated by the end of my day, though. I generally dislike powder on my combination skin because it ages me, but I just received the IT Celebration Foundation (which was fine except for the color match). I might try the JI with just a light dusting of the CF on top to set it tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sister, I've even tried to set this with SKINN's Plasma Flawless Finish - but it mattified that pretty glow, which I didn't care for. The glow is a big part of why I like this BB cream. I prefer to have a dewy look, as opposed to matte.

Hi again SGH! Do they sell shades for medium skin in their minerals? I'd be the equivalent of Medium Tan or a little lighter in BE. That probably doesn't mean much to you since I know you've worn and swear by JI, & haven't wavered much from this brand for years.

I did purchase one of JL brushes you raved about- The Handi Brush- and it's quite good!

I always think of this brand as tailored more to lighter complexions, but could be so wrong... however, that would be the first...

Hi SGH-

I love liners and eye shadows and lip stuff, of course! I have used mineral MU in the past (mostly BE) so I'd be only slightly interested in the foundation-type products if they were revolutionary! I have dry skin and I have tried BE on and off for years. I still use a few of their products here and there, but I don't wear the foundation on a daily basis. Sometimes I try it again and I don't love it.

My dermatologist told me that her make up line was originally started for burn victims. That plus other blurbs that I have read make me think it is healthy. I used it for a brief period but went back to BE because it was cheeper. I have since switched to Laura Gellar because BE accentuated my pores. Maybe I should take another look at Jane Iredale.
