Unfortunately, I read the bad reviews AFTER I had already purchased. This is the absolute WORST mascara ever! It is like putting tar on your lashes and almost impossible to remove. In all my years, I have NEVER EVER had a mascara that was so difficult to get off your lashes.

I've had it for a couple weeks and I have no problem removing it. I use covergirl waterproof mascara remover.

Sparklestar, According to the reviews you are an exception. Most everybody had the same complaint, that it was VERY difficult to remove. I had to use three different products to remove it

That is one of those with two wands. I barely have time to slap on one coat from one wand. I use Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye Waterproof. It doesn't clump, and I don't have to wipe the excess off to get a clean application. I usually take the wands of mascara and blot them between my fingers with tissue so that the bulk of the mascara is off the wand. It makes for a cleaner application without the globbing of the eyelashes together.

Believe it or not, Paula B names this mascara as a "Best of the Best". Not surprising, she always recommends stuff that stinks. And she even talks about how difficult it is to remove, yet still highly recommends it. Glad I saw your post, won't be getting this one!

My daughter tries every new drugstore mascara. She did not like this one at all so she gave it to me. Using the primer and the mascara together made my lashes feel heavy. They also stuck together. I did not find it difficult to remove as I use the Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil.

I tried it and lost several of my precious thinning eyelashes taking it off with eye makeup remover. I really like IT thin line (think that's what it's called) My eyelids are hooded so I need every single lash. I left a bad review somewhere -think it was beauty.com

As I was checking out at the grocery this week, I saw a separate isle display with that mascara.

I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice skincare…her products work wonders for me. I also appreciate her reviews so I can avoid products that contain irritating ingredients…however I have to agree that her cosmetic reviews tend to be off the mark. I can't tell you how much make-up I have purchased based on her best rating that has not performed well or had a terrible texture etc. Also, I have been less than impressed with her cosmetic line. She is a great resource for skincare but needs to work on her make-up reviews/products. I have finally learned my lesson and just stick to her fabulous line of skin care.

Thank you so much for the warning. I was going to purchase it this weekend because I saw where Paula recommended it. Funny this was the first time I had gone to her site to read recommendations before purchasing something. So glad I saw what you wrote!

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? Why in the world would they make mascara you couldn't remove? Maybe it has super glue in it.

I haven't seen any displays at stores I have frequented lately but then I haven't been in the beauty aisles either.

This is one of the reasons I love this board, now see, I wouldn't have known about this without the warning and probably would have bought some!

I only wear IT Cosmetics mascara. You should try it. Haven't bought Covergirl makeup of any kind since I was 16 years old. :-)

The thread title made me smile as it made me think of the robot from 'Lost in Space' (60's TV show for you youngsters out there) in the beauty aisle at my local CVS waving his arms. Cover Girl's original Last Blast is pretty good if you're looking for drugstore.

I would have agreed with you 100 percent before I bought her nude mattes eyeshadow palette. I think it's excellent. I also bought her new finishing powder and bronzer. They're both good but nothing to jump and down about. Her set of four liquid lipsticks that have been a bonus gift a few times are very, very nice.

I will say that I did use her reviews for a cosmetic purchase this week and am thrilled that I did. It's a concealer that she rated "best."

Generally, though, I think her strong suit is skin care. And I think her skin care products are top-notch.

I tried this mascara and didn't find it difficult to get off with my regular Purity. That said, later that evening I kept finding little dots of mascara littered under my eyes. Weird, it certainly looked like everything was off but it obviously wasn't. But I wasn't thrilled with it so I never used it again.

As for Paula's Choice, I agree with the earlier posters who said her strong suit is definitely her skincare, cosmetics not so much. I haven't found one foundation that covers well enough. I, too, got the Liquid Lipsticks free with my last order and they're not bad but far too pink for my liking. But the coworkers I gave them to love them.
