I love Mally! I think she is a wonderful person. But she never starts from scratch with her Foundations,eyeshadows,eyeliners,lipglosses... I'm constantly returning until I get the right color for me. Unlike Laura Gellar,Tarte,it Cosmetics, these ladies start from scratch so you can get a general idea,of what color is best for you! It Elliminates all the crazy returning. When Mally first started on Qvc,she started it all from scratch. Over the years,it's been nothing! Please please Mally start demonstrating your products from scratch! Thanks and God bless!

I think all make up should be applied to a face with no make-up while on air! I'm so tired of seeing them rub a clean brush over faces! Spend less time making up fake words, and more time proving your product does what you say it does. That goes for hosts, and those bringing products to us! I just don't trust any make-up if the who presents it doesn't have faith enough to apply the product on air! To me, it says be wary! I wonder, what else have they done to that face first? They say no smoke and mirrors, but if they don't have faith in their product, I won't consider it!

All the models have to have make up on when they are under the studio lights, and on camera. If they didn't, they would look washed out.

For that reason, the models will never be bare skinned.

Yes, I can appreciate that Laura Geller brings models out without any skin make-up on when she demos Balance N Brighten sometimes. She's had Lorraine on bare-faced (except she's had eye make-up on) many times, as well as the model, Carrie. Laura applies the BnB live. Lorraine has lots of skin discoloration and redness, which is very apparent before Laura begins the demo.

It would be nice to see some constistancy, texture, and color that you are buying. Tarte has their girls,do a little section from scratch.at least you get some kind of a general idea,of what your buying!

I agree, because watching them apply makeup over already applied makeup, or pretend to apply (not very convincingly) over makeup does nothing for us. However I've heard it's done to save time. Whatever the case, I'd still much rather see them apply all makeup on fresh clean skin.

Luckily, I've never had a problem choosing a Mally product from her demonstrations. She is excellent at showing the colors on the back of hands and then telling us what color the model is wearing. She is so instructive, even with the makeup mostly applied, at exactly how to achieve the look. I love her line and have never been disappointed in anything I've ordered. Evidently I'm not alone because I've seen lots of sell outs.

I love Mally, but she is the worst vendor for this. Her models are made-up with so much makeup, you can't tell any difference. Bobbi Brown is very good at showing you models with no makeup and then adding whatever product she is showing,it makes sense!!!!!If they spent less time talking and laughing there would be enough time to show foundations on bare faces........

I agree! I hate the pretend applying of products when they are already clearly heavily made up. The foundation demos DEFINITELY need to be applied to a bare face once in awhile.

To the OP -------- Start from scratch?

If a vendor is demonstrating blush, eyeliner or shadow, I don't think it really matters if the model is already wearing a foundation base! By now, most women already know how to apply makeup and the vendor can focus on the demo and explanation of the blush or whatever. IMO, a bare face isn't necessary.

Especially when everbody has different skin tones . Showing me is better than telling me!
