I did not order, BeautyAddiction. I do not think heat tools are good for my hair.

I have an older Chi Smart which I really like and ordered this one as a backup. I have very curly, frizzy hair which has been Keritan treated but still tends to frizz and I touch up with the Chi. Bought the Calista Perfecter and returned it within a few days because I still needed my Chi. Thought I'd retire my older one to vacation status. I do use heat protectant. I like the Chi better than the cheaper ones because I can adjust the temperature down to 360 so I don't fry my hair and only have to go over my hair once.

I ordered it at the last presentation. I have a flat iron but I don't like it. On my flat iron the ceramic tile is too small and my hair always gets fried. I never use it anymore. I was thinking instead I would get a 2" curling iron just to put a little bend or wave in my hair, but I've been wanting one for a while and unless I stumble upon one I probably am not going to get one as I would have ordered one by now. I thought perhaps this tool would do the job of both tools. I liked that they used it to curl as well as flat iron and it looked not as damaging as my current flat iron. I liked how the plates moved. The girls in my salon use chi and in the past they have told me it was worth the money. I like the holster too. What really sold me was that they said at retail the iron sold at $173. I thought the value was good. I got the blue floral.

I was very close to ordering, but decided to wait because I think with a coupon code, I might be able to get it for less somewhere else. I will be looking for something with the titanium plates.

BeautyAddiction, my hair is fine, straight, thin with no chemical treatments. It would not do well with heat tools. I have heat rollers I use occasionally but regular use will give me split ends.

I have a PYT plus an extra (long story) otherwise I would have bought the Chi. My hair is fine and straight. I love the body and curl I get with the PYT. Does anyone else have any experience with PYT and whether the Chi is actually better?

BeautyAddiction, PYT stands for Pretty Young Thing, an embarrassing name since I'm far from that It's a ceramic flat iron/styler. I think the Chi is titanium. I wonder which is better for hair or if they are pretty much the same?

The Chi says it's Titanium and Ceramic.

I didn't buy this tsv. But I have the same one from an earlier tsv. Have had it over a year and LOVE it. Takes only seconds to heat and style my hair. It doesn't leave the hair dry or brittle. Would definitely buy this iron again. Love the digital so you can change tempature, this is critical for not damaging your hair.

Mine is out for delivery. I do have the one in the last TSV and really like it but I like that this one you can lock the temperature and it has an auto turn off. I use mine on 360 degrees and don't get any smoke like I saw in the presentation. I also use heat protectant on my wet hair, quickly blow dry, then use the Chi. Sounds like it takes long but it really doesn't. Sent back the Calista Perfecter after 3'days cause it can't hold a candle to the Chi. Will use my old one for vacations and as backup.

That's the set I got. I gave the travel to my GD. Her hair is long, and it does beautiful curls for her.

I love mine! But I just use it for touch ups, and it is wonderful!

I ordered in Pink Floral! I recently had my hair restyled...shorter now and I do have finer hair. I want lift not curls. My curling iron gives me curls. I'm hoping I can volumize at the roots in the manner they showed in the product videos. If it doesn't work...back it will go!
