I am in the middle of my 5th week. My face is still red after treatments. Prior to using the TRIA I would go every 6 months for a treatment at the Dr.'s office for the rebuilding of collagen so I may have seen results quicker than others. I am doing the 5 days a week with two off for 12 weeks and am glad I did this as the side effects of dry skin and discoloration was minimal. That being said, after I completed the 4th week and not doing it for 2 days I realized that my face had certainly tightened and my neck too. I was unable to grab any skin on my cheeks and my neck looked incredible. Again, I don't know if this was because of previous treatments. Perhaps the Tria gave a boost to what I had already been doing, I really don't know, however, I do know this, the price of the Tria is less then 1 treatment at the Dr.'s office and the results are amazing. At this point I think I am done going to doctor's office for more treatments.

There was another thread on here about results from the tria but it seems to have "disappeared " . I also have a problem with my ratings of Susan graver clothing , never did "appear". But that's another discussion. I have the tria for 4 weeks now. It is working ok but I question if it is "working". So far no improvement. I question also if this is a product that is rebuilding collage how can some of u guys see improvement in as little as a week.? I'm not trying to be a smarty or nay sayer but how can rebuilding collagen take so little time? The only thing I have experienced so far is the redness and dryness. I do think there is some swelling too and I'm wondering if some of the ladies are mistaking swelling for improvement.? And again not being a smarty a person opened another discussion about the tria but admitted to derma rolling and other treatments as we'll . But that's not a real assessment of the tria. Anyway I would like to see an ongoing open and honest discussion about this product without QVC cutting it off. It's important that we are able to do this. It's not like we are dropping a few dollars on a mascara. It was a considerable investment for me. If this does not get posted by QVC like my ratings have not been. I will not purchase from them anymore. I have bee a good customer over the years and I do like their products but they are not the only game in town.

I think anyone "seeing" true collagen building results after just a week or two (or three) is likely doing some "wishful thinking" because the skin just doesn't re-produce collagen that fast. Possibly some are seeing inflammation which has been mentioned before here and that can be mis-interpreted with the swelling or plumping that occurs with it. Don't let that discourage you from reading and sharing with all the realistic Tria users as they make up the bulk of those posting on these weekly Tria threads.

There have been great weekly Tria threads for the first 5 weeks anyway and I think they have been of tremendous help to those who are using it currently or even those considering it. If any of them were deleted, I can only think that the problems many have had with their units might be at fault there yet that doesn't justify removing them, imo. Everyone has the right to be aware of any potential problems because, as you pointed out, this is not like the cost of a mascara.

If you do a search for Tria weekly threads, there should be at least 3 or 4 of them as I am not sure if they started right away or it was a week or two in before they began. Lots of good information in them and most were experiencing similar reactions that you addressed. If I remember correctly, a few have noted that most improvements and benefits don't really start becoming visible until after the first 8 weeks - during the down time.

Hopefully some of the active participants will see your thread and respond and you can share and compare with them. There are some really honest posters who have been very forthcoming with their experiences so far and believe me, they have been reporting very similar results to yours. I'd become familiar with those posters and follow their commentary as it will be more useful for you.

QVC should not be deleting any of the Tria posts, imo, as they have all had valuable information, even if they don't like to see some of the technical problems mentioned. They are a reality too and deleting posts won't make those issues magically disappear.

Oh Lyn, I wish I was nearby to hear all the kitty chatter that will be taking place at your home today. That's a whole bunch of kitty claws to do - are any of them a little co-operative? They really are a beautiful breed.

I don't own any kitties due to really bad allergies to them but I find them such fascinating animals. Between their physical abilities, which are amazing at times, and their chatting, I find them such an enjoyable pet. I have a little YorkiePoo who gets along great with the feral cat who resides in my complex. This cat follows us on all our walks which entertains all my neighbors enormously. She has done that for years as she started following when I had my sweet little male Maltese and he has been gone since 2011.

Our lives would be so empty without our pets, eh? When I buy on ebay and it states smoke and pet free home, I always think how lost I'd be without at least one pet. I used to have more but when I lost both my Malties, I have just had my one little guy now - and he is a little one. A real sweet little guy though.

Happy Clipping, sweetie!!!

I am on week 5ish of my Tria. I haven't seen any "collagen building" results so far. But my sister and I both, saw an amazing change in texture of our skin the first week. My skin is brighter and smoother and some days, I don't even wear primernow under my foundation. The sun spots on my face are lightening. The sun spots on the tops of my forearms are almost completely gone. I am a long time Palovia user and know from experience, the changes as far as collagen and wrinkle repair, come during recovery. There is a thread on here from someone who is almost done with her recovery period and she said going into the last week of her recovery, the changes are amazing. Her skin is the best it's looked in years. I know that one cycle is not going reach the results I am hoping to achieve, and I am fine with that. I made an investment into this machine, and you better believe I will be making it worth my while and continue using it. But so far, the changes I have seen in my skin, are worth it.

You'll probably just have to slog through them all again, or try to remember how long ago you read it and zero in on that time frame. Just put Tria - Week in the search bar, and all of them should come up.

BTW, I'm 5-ish weeks in, too, and the past few nights I've become more red and my skin feels more "attacked" than in the earlier weeks. I decided to stop with my usual skin care stuff tonight after my treatment, and just put some soothing CeraVe lotion on . I'm not sure if there's an improvement then "no more uglies" or if it's kind of a wave - now you have it, now you don't ?

But as 5pugmom said, the improvement comes during the recovery period. When one gets a professional laser treatment there's a period of "ugly" but then the recovery begins and the changes start becoming apparent. I'm looking at this as an 8 week l-o-n-g treatment, then the cease and desist to let the collagen do its thing.

As always, just my interpretation and as always, I may be way off kilter in my thinking.

Thanks guys,I did find the old thread. I'm glad to hear other people are having there ups and downs too. I have only see the down. I kid you not I pulled down my visor in the parking lot before heading in to work and I thought aye yay yay you look baaaad. That's what has me concerned is I know there are treatments that you look bad before you look good, but I just don't know if I can go thru 8 weeks of looking like this. I know if u have like a carbon laser that actually burs the skin off, but that's a different method. My skin actually looks worse than when I started. I feel the lines are more pronounced and the discoloration is worse! I even have lines where I didn't have lines, like the marionette. Where in Gods name did they come from. I am going to be on my 2 day off period for the weekend and we'll see how that goes. I'm going to try and research to find out if this is normal. Someone mentioned they had fraxel, did u go thru a period of your skin looking bad before it looked good and if so how long did it take? I really appreciate all of your feedback. It's great to be able to compare notes and I'll let u guys know if I find out anything else. Thanks so much!

Everything you've mentioned -- wrinkles from nowhere, discoloration, even sandpaper skin, have been experienced and mentioned. I actually thought my skin would look far worse than it does, so I'm kind of relieved! :-). I'm willing to go through 8 weeks of redness and dryness (which is all I'm experiencing now - the sandpaper is gone) if at the end of the treatments I get longer term results. But it's an individual thing, and I imagine just how bad your skin looks (or how much you care) are contributing factors on whether or not to continue.

You say you found the old "thread" -- but there are 5 of them chronicling results and experiences week by week.
