Superfine sugar makes a great a.m. wash because you don't have to remove eye makeup. You can keep it gritty for a little extra dermabrasion, or you can dilute it. I've been using sugar exclusively for several years now. It is quite hydrating on the skin.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard some use sugar as a scrub. But, any ideas on something that would act as a cleanser?

Thanks!

wikihow.com/Make-Natural-Face-Cleansers

There are 10 recipes here that cover various skin types - all skin, dry skin, moisturizing, exfoliating etc. I've tried a couple of them and liked the way my skin felt. I can't recommend one over the other since they are for specific types of skin and purposes so don't know what would work for you.

I have used baking soda but it is a bit drying for my skin. I tried it with just water and mixed with a cleanser. Actually I received a sample of one that was very nice from a Korean Company. Currently I have been using cocoanut oil to remove makeup and then spread more of the oil on my face and take a warm washcloth to wipe it off. This is not normal for me but my cheeks have been rather dry. I have heard people talk about using sugar as a face scrub.
