Jaimie from It cosmetics just made a mess on a models face with Bye Bye Undereye. She used way too much and you could see the thick texture. I thought it strange that she left it that way.

I witness many of the cosmetic vendors doing the same thing. Especially Laura Geller, Trish McEvoy, and Mally. They apply everything too heavily and don't blend properly. I often wonder how they qualify as makeup artists. I've seen TM apply that triangle of light a million times and it's ridiculous.

I've seen other vendors do that as well- Bobbi Brown, Josie Maran (and some of the models), Laura Geller (she is really bad about this), etc. I think the lighting in there and the angle they are at makes it difficult for them sometimes.

I think it's the same story as the guy who butters my bagel at the bagel shop - I ask for a ""little"" but it's faster to spread a lot. I think they are 1) trying to move quickly 2) want to make sure the makeup is obvious enough to show up on TV.

I agree with the other posts here. I think they are in a rush & that's why it happens. Also they are applying it to a model who is facing the camera for the most part- probably not the ideal position to have it applied perfectly.

I think they do that because of time restraints, they have to be quick and don't have time to properly blend out. OR sometimes I think they do it to demonstrate the full coverage, and they hope it doesn't show up as thick on tv as it really is. I have an old TV and I still usually see it pretty well.

No, I think it's the angle which the models are sitting while the vendor is standing off to the side, not directly in front of them as they normally would. I also believe the set lighting isn't like what they usually do it in under normal mirrors and bright lights. Of course, time is always a problem.

Of all mentioned, I have seen Trish make a mess most of the time, but I've seen every one of them make huge mistakes. Bobbi Brown can't do well without her glasses at all.

I but if we could really see their faces they all would look horrible. Jamie always wipes her makeup off and then puts it back on without looking and it looks flawless. I have to use a magnifying mirror and do a lot of patting and smoothing for my face to look good. She probably thought the camera would do it's trick and it didn't. Usually everyone's face looks flawless and it never looks that good in real life.

I do think they rush so much it's a wonder they don't look worse.
