I'm conflicted.

The reviews are mostly amazing.....and positive.

The comments on a thread here about Jane......not so good.

Who has actually tried it?

PS....I thought Maureen looked orange-y but the models looked fine. I watched Jane in the videos of her shoe shoe and she looked fine (IMO) just not her normal fair skin. Just tan.

It is a BIG YAY for me! The best self-tanner I have ever used! I pre-ordered the TSV and have been using it for about a month. It gives me the most natural tan color ever, and I've tried many self-tanners. Not the slightest bit orange on me.

It truly does NOT smell! I've left it on for 24 hours, no smell.

There's no way that was one application on them last night/this morning. I don't get anywhere near that dark after one application, it would take me 5! I think they applied it the night before then reapplied, and during the show they still had it on so the "guide" color was making it even darker. They must have rinsed it off this morning because all of them look better today.

I will say I do not like the towelettes at all. I just use the body tanner on my face as I prefer to see a guide color when I apply a tanner. The towelettes go on clear so you can't tell if you missed a spot, and I do think the tan I got from those was "off" compared to just using the body tanner on my face.

I have to agree with MissKlynn - I love it. It does not smelll, which is really the most important thing for me. I used to use the BE self-tanner and the smell kept me awake at night. I hated it.

I can attest that I do not look like the models when I apply it. I only use it about twice a week - so I just get a natural looking bronzy color. Those models have probably applied it 5 times and have not showered. So they look ridiculous with that much tanning stuff on.

I don't use it on my face - I just use a powdered bronzer on my face. I have not tried the face towels yet.

I hate that the presentations of the self-tanner has turned people off. QVC needs to do a better job with that.

From what I saw last night, they are doing this tanner a disservice. I hope the presentations have improved.

I will start by saying I despise self tanners. They are smelly, feel sticky or weird, are a pain to apply evenly to feet etc., and depending on the brand, look fake. Most recently I have tried Tan Towels (good, but orangey on me), BE Faux Tan (sticky, never dries, rubs off on EVERYTHING, couldn't wait to shower it off and then there would be minimal color), and most recently, Tarte. Of the many I've tried, I like Tarte's the best. It dries quickly, isn't sticky, and is more bronze than orange in tone. It's subtle - you definitely won't look like the models with just one application - and it's smell is the least offensive. That said, I DO smell it as the day goes on, and then the next day after showing it off I still smell it. Not as bad as most, but definitely there.

I agree with others; there is no "self-tanner" smell with this one. I also didn't have any transfer to clothing. In terms of color, it looked natural on me; the towelettes take some practice. I like the convenience, but the first time, they looked a little dark. HTH.

It's amazing! I thought St. Tropez was the best but it has nothing on Tarte! Tarte blends seamlessly with almost no effort and very little smell. The color on me is a natural brown and I am light skinned. I can't believe it took me so long to try it. I will never go back to anything else.
