Summer Fragrance...does this exist?

I'm still looking (have been since last summer) for a light, clean fresh, pretty, not too sweet, non headache inducing fragrance, that is appropriate for spring and summer that doesn't wear away quickly. I've tried LOTS. Do you think this wish list is just unrealistic? Does such a fragrance exist? Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I'd so appreciate any suggestions!

This is only my opinion and everyone is different, but... Philosophy Sunshine Grace! I got a spritz and sprayed a test strip a week ago. I can still smell it strongly on the test strip - how often does that happen? If I were to buy a Philosophy scent right now, this would be it. It's beachy, sort of a cross between Pure Grace and a beachy scent, slight citrus, slight floral, clean scent. I think it's the strongest Philosophy scent I've ever smelled. I have read some people say it doesn't last, but that sure isn't my experience.

In the warm summer mths I like the Bath & Body Works fragrances-very light-many choices. I especially like Dark Kiss in the signature collection.This is more of a vanilla scent but they have alot of others-citrus,etc.You can go to the website to get the full descriptions of all their scents.Also, they often run sales,so you aren't out alot of money to try out a few of them.

In another thread, there was discussion of Bobbi Brown Beach. Of course some loved, it, others didn't. Sephora has ratings of 4 out of 5 stars. You might head on over and check out the reviews. Kind of pricy @ $70.

Now I"m intrigued by Sunshine Grace, thanks to Desi. Going to look into that, and I'm guessing it's less costly than BB.

i, too, always look for that wonderful fragrance. burberry summer is nice. anything is better that Tova summer. smells a lot like Tova sig. but too, too musky for warm weather. had to return it.

Wondering if anyone has experience with Jo Malone. I've heard good things about her scents. I'm thinking of getting Nectarine Blossom & Honey. Also positive comments on Lime, Basil & Mandarin. She has an Orange Blossom.........Grapefruit. They are at Nordstrom's. Free s/h & free returns, no questions asked, no time limit.

To me citrus scents are spring & summer.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, Bobbi Brown Beach and now Philosophy's Summer and Sunshine Grace.

Bobbi Brown Beach is so strong at first, so I am usually a little weary about wearing it around others, so I find Sunshine Grace perfect now. It reminds me of a toned down Beach.

I have some L'Occitane fragrances that I consider summery, but I think they were discontinued except the Verbena.

Yes, I love Jo. I have a special gift box of 6 mini bottles which includes the two fragrances you mentioned. My favs include the lime basil and orange blossom. I LOVED that! I contacted them a few years back and asked if they still were doing the fragrance but they said no, they were concentrating on their makeup and skincare. That was one of my very favorites ever. :-(

Nectarine Blossom & Honey? YUM! And I read somewhere that in a "test", those wearing Grapefruit fragrance were perceived as being younger. I'd better look into that, too!

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Perfect for spring and summer. I get a lot of compliments on this which means it projects scent and lingers, something fragrance rarely does these days.

I always liked Chrystal by Chanel in the summer - but it is too pricey for me right now. However, the OP may want to look into it. A crisp , light , pretty scent that lasts a long time. I am currently wearing Lily of the Valley from Crabtree & Evelyn - also a crisp , light scent.

I like a fragrance called Inis for the summer. It is from Ireland and they sell it here on QVC and also Amazon. It is very light and crisp for the summer. I love it

Even though I love fragrance, I really dislike the base that most commercial fragrances use, as they all dry down to that same chemical fragrance, or, without it, disappear in minutes.

About 15 years ago, I discovered La Bouquetiere (just add the ".com"). Almost every one of their fragrances are fresh and have good lasting power, if you choose the perfume (not the mist). The body lotions are wonderful for the moisture and they also deliver a lot of the fragrance. When people compliment, they usually use the words "pretty," "clean," or "fresh."

It is a little shop in San Francisco that ships. If you sign up for the e-mails, you can receive notice of the really good sales that are run frequently.

Though I am not one to buy fragrance for the packaging, theirs happens to be beautiful, imo.

For summer I love Bobbi Brown Beach and any of the Chloe's.
