I too had a friend that "used" to sell Arbonne. She decided to discontinue the line in her spa after noticing that the ingredients had dramatically changed...for the worst. She has since switched to using and selling another line in her spa. I have had samples given to me and I looked at the ingredients and decided not to have them touch my skin. If someone needs to make additional money, I would strongly suggest another way. I also agree with the agressive way in which these products are sold at their parties. I do not participate in this type of sales tactic.

I also would say that people have different skin types and some people like the line. I would just hope that people would read ingredients before trying any face or body care product. If people did this, they would avoid alot of skin issues. Natural is always best, and Arbonne is not one of these lines.

I wish her good luck.

Are any of you familiar with or have used this line?

My DIL is now selling it. First it was Tupperware, then Tastefully Simple, then Avon, mixed in w/ a THOUSAND jewelry and candle parties! UGH! LOL

I am very loyal to the skin care products I currently use. I also have enough to last a LIFETIME!

But I imagine I will have to buy something! Any reviews or suggestions? I never heard of it.

TIA!

I agree on all the things people sell! But... since you'll have to buy something, I will say I love Arbonne and use a lot of it. I love the makeup primer and seasource detox hair mask in particular. You can at least rest-assured there products are very high-end and good. Enjoy whatever you get!

For me, Arbonne is incredibly expensive. There are so many good brands out there that work well that I have not been tempted to even try the skin care.

To be nice at parties I have been invited to, I have ordered a couple of the hand creams. FC5 ultra hydrating cream was ok. You can get it in a purchase with purchase set with a cooling foot cream for $30. I also got the shea butter one that is in a pump recently for $26. I like that one because of the pump....makes it easy to use as I pass it by.

I also got one of the scrubs that is nice for feet. I think it was the sea salt scrub for $30. That was a favorite at the last party I went to....especially with summer coming.

I tried it a few years ago because my neighbor just started selling for them. BTW they pressure their salespeople very heavily to sell, sell, sell. I found the products to be nothing special and quite pricey.

I was using some products, before the recession. Their eye pencils went on like silk, with no pulling. There was one line of moisturizers that was great, but I can't remember the name. I wasn't into the anti-aging thing then, but they had many lines. There was a product that wasn't designed for this purpose, but did work to take the sting out of fire ant bites. The teen products were great(and I am no teen). So many people were on strict budgets then, that it hurt their sales. They stopped selling. I am thrilled they are back and I'm going to call my rep and see if she's selling again.

I sold the line 10 years ago.... the company and products have changed dramatically with virtually nothing still available that I used/sold.

They had some amazing products and those that they kept have still been altered... and not for the better. Stick with the hand creams, the salt scrubs/aromatherapy items. The best body moisturizer used to be there tanning line; the after sun body moisturizer. HOLY MOLY your skin is hydrated and feels like velvet!!!

Beyond that, I wouldn't purchase anything else. Oh..lip balm. That should still be good.

If you go on Makeup Alley, you can see what products have recieved a high rating. I had a friend that sold Arbonne for a very short time, it's a multi-level marketing program, if your daughter is making a lot of money, good for her--but those multi-level things scare me.

I have friends who sell it, but I dislike the sales pitch. Claiming other vitamins have "silver" in the name because they are deliberately loaded with mercury...and the cracker in baby oil trick...of course it will stay coated and in tact. That's what petroleum products do. We use them as stabilizers in all sorts of topical OTC and prescription antibiotics. Vaseline does not penetrate and poison the skin. Beware of the Arbonne ingredients. Many of the sun-protection products are loaded with St. John's Wort, known to create sun-sensitivity. Counter-intuitive but designed to make you buy more.

Oh dear.

Thanks everyone for your input! I wish she wouldn't get herself into these things...but as a new MIL...zipped the mouth shut. She has college loan debt so I give her tons of credit for at least trying to supplement the income. She is a substitute teacher as often as she can but also works another job too. She is trying, I guess, but is easily swayed by these multi-level deals.

I'd rather just GIVE her $50 than get stuck buying stuff I don't want/need! LOL I don't wish to be mean, but I am not a 'sales party' person! I can think of a thousand things I'd rather be/should be doing than going to another home party! I feel so pressured into having my own party. I work w/ 30 men...no females...and have almost no family here. Just an 83 year old mom! Who on earth would I invite??

Do I look sick to you guys? Maybe I am coming down w/ something VERY contagious! LOL

Thank you for the suggestions of foot products and salt scrubs. That is what I will gravitate towards. Can't hurt my feet any, right?

Thanks again!

Someone gave me some Arbonne products a few years back for my birthday and I, too, loved that ginger bathwash or whatever it was . Also discovered their hand brightener cream with SPF 30. Ended up using that as a sunblock and loved it! No greasy feel yet really works (Used it up in Yosemite up in very high elevations and clear sunny days and no sunburn whatsoever.) Just reordered some on Amazon as I do not want to deal with some heavy handed sales rep. You can find it a bit discounted on ebay and Amazon.

I absolutely do not like these party products, and I am very honest about it. My close friends and family know how I feel and know I won't be purchasing. As far as Arbonne, a good friend insisted on giving me samples. I was not impressed. She has sold it for years and, yes, we are still very good friends. No friends or family should want you buying products you don't care for.
