I get tired of the same old thing so I like to make a change once in a while, and I've thought about switching to this line. Can anyone tell me if it targets any specific group (young women, middle-aged, sensitive skin...etc)?

I'm 60+, blonde, blue-eyed and distressingly fair. Without some color in my face I look like a ghost.

TIA, ladies.

Betty, it's a good brand but as others have said her colors tend to be on the warm side. Also many tend to be sparkly. I have a cool skin tone so most of her products looked muddy on me or too sparkly. That is my experience. It is a very good line if you can wear her colors.

While it is a fantasy to believe that any line will work for everyone... Bobbi Brown is one of he most all inclusive brands of makeup on the planet. Her line has something for all ages and what I find more importantly all skintones-- and I mean all. Her brand has foundations and color products which will complement one with a tone as light as Elmer's Glue those who have brown skintones as rich as a roasted coffee bean.

Having the colors is wonderful, but you ask do they work. Bobbi's products are phenomenal!!! She has various foundation formulations and I truly feel that you should visit one of her department store counters to test the textures for yourself. I don't think you will have a problem finding blush, lip color and eyeshadows which will give you the needed color without overwhelming your fair complexion and looking clownish.

I will make one product suggestion and that is her Pot Rouge for Lip and Cheeks in Pale Pink would probably be amazing on you. It's a beautiful soft pink shade which is almost too light for anyone beyond light-to-medium to do justice to the color. On a very fair complexion the real beauty of the color comes through at just the right level. I personally use Pot Rouge almost everyday. More often for lips, but I do use it as a blush from time to time. My favorite colors are Milk Chocolate and Rose, but I'm liking the new shade Hibiscus (coral).

Bobbi will be on QVC Tuesday, April 29th with a TSV. You should tune in to learn more about the line and her products. I know I steered you to a counter, but that's just to see the foundation colors in person. Watching her on QVC is the next best thing to the priviledge of spending an hour in her makeup chair for a personal session.

Her line is great. My favorites are her blushes, shimmer bricks and shimmer bronzers. "Antiqua" is an awesome face brightener. Her foundations are excellent - the color of skin. Not too yellow or pink. I also like her matte shadow selection. I don't think her line excels in the mascara department and I don't embrace the gel eyeliner look.

Her premise is toward natural beauty, so if your goal is to look like you only better then you might give it a try. My advice to you would be to go to her counter and look at some of the stuff in person. Her foundations and concealers do have a yellow base for the most part, and her a lot of her lipsticks have the "brown" undertone, but there are things in her line that lean towards cool. Her website offers free shipping and free returns on all foundations and I belive that Nordstrom's offers free shipping and fee returns on everything all the time, so you can't go wrong there.

I have cool toned skin and her foundations are too YELLOW for me and her shadows are too frosted. I think a deep olive skin tone will work best for her products.

I love the products I buy from BB. If you are looking for wild color, she doesn't have that in shadows or liners. She tends to be more subdued to just accentuate your natural beauty, so to speak.

She made her name with her lipsticks and glosses. You won't be disappointed. I personally love them and use her lip colors and Edward Bess. I love her hydrating liquid foundation, her long lasting shadows and liners are award winning. I also love her face and body self tanning lotion. It is light, buildable for the face and arms. I also have used it on my legs. Then my favorite of all favorites is BEACH. OMG, cannot live without my Beach!!! Her prices are moderate. A long lasting cream shadow (I use stone everyday) lasts me 8 months at least. The lipsticks are nice portions. The glosses are wonderful, long lasting and high pigment, but they are stingy with the amount, IMO. I switched to EB, I get better and more.

She produces quality products, but most of her colors don't work on my porcelain/cool skin. The palettes can be particularly problematic. I looked at the TSV she has coming up, and only one eyeshadow would work. So much for that kit.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to get any of the foundation colors to work for me. I even checked out the new one, but didn't think it would work. I keep hoping!

Her colors are definitely not for everyone. IMO, her colors work for her skin tone the best. I even went to 2 different BB counters in different Nordstrom's & the SA's really couldn't find a good match for my skin tone - which is cool/neutral - no yellow. Even her lipstick doesn't work for me - too brown or muddy. Although she touts her products as universal I can attest for myself, they do not flatter me.

I also have cool toned fair skin and I have had great experience with her foundations and bb cream. Her philosophy is that you should see good skin, not make up and she delivers. I have not had problems with it looking too yellow on me. Her eye shadows are good quality on a par with other high end brands. They last all day.She always includes matte colors as well as shimmer and frosts in her palettes. Her bronzers are excellent. The pot rouge is a 2 for one product that you can use on your lips or cheeks. The gel eyeliners are also excellent. Check out the reviews on QVC or at Nordstroms online. I agree with the other poster regarding the line being one that has products that work with many skin tones. QVC also has videos of Bobbi working on clients - all ages, all skin tones.

I just switched to Bobbi Brown I was a Mac girl for the longest time. My skin is like Elmer's glue white and her skin foundation was a perfect match in Alabaster 00. Same with the tinted moisturizers. But my holy Grail is BB cream (extra light). Everything I've tried is so natural. I'm so pale I use the Rose and Lilac Rose shimmer brick very lightly for my blush color and I love it I also use the colors for eye shadow. Then I use a clear lip gloss and pick a color in the shimmer brick and put it on my lips. Very natural I love her line so far.

I am fair and cool-toned. I like many of her shadows and a couple lip glosses. I've never gotten a decent foundation match with any of her products--all too yellow for me. If she's updated her foundation products to include cool and neutral colors, I may check them out!

I am a cool tone and I love her eyeshadows, blushes and liners. They are the best, I haven't tried any of her foundatons but I like the other products. I use Clinique foundation and I really like it so I have no desire to change foundation. Bobbi has a TSV coming up Tuesday (I already ordered), so you might want to order and try it. You might like A243099 Nectar and Nude eyeshadow collection. I have these and the colors are very soft.
