I have dry, sensitive skin with rosacea, I would like to get a foundation that is not drying. I tried bare minerals serum foundation but it left my face looking dry and it went into my pores. Also would I need a primer? If anyone has any suggestions would be great. thanks !!!

I'm sorry I don't have any recommendations for you. I too have rosacea and my skin care and makeup have been on hold. I'm so out of the makeup loop that when I was looking at drugstore brands I was so confused on all of it that I left without trying any. I have no idea what bb and cc cream is. Is it foundation-i don't know. But anyway, I'm going to go to Macy's next weekend and check into the clinique redness solution. I will see what foundations they recommend. I will ask about dry skin too. I will let you know what they say. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful and I hope more people help you out.

My skin dr. said Almay was good, I was looking at the Wake-up collection it has hydration in it and Paula Choice gave it the best rating so I was thinking about getting that.

I have rosacea and for makeup it is very individual-you have to try it out for size. I order products from Sephora b/c they have a generous return policy. Use only 1 new product at a time so if you have a flare you can identify the culprit. I have also put a product away and tried it a week or so later and had no reaction-so go figure. I use Bobbi Brown Skin, Chanel Aqua Lumiere, or Erno Laszlo mousse foundation. They are expensive, but work for me. When I first got rosacea I used Clinique and that is what I would suggest for you.

If you don't mind spending a bit of money, I would say try Guerlain - 'Lingerie de Peau' Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation. I love it and its a light liquid that wears well and covers without being heavy. I recommend going to a store that carries it like Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus or Sephora and getting a sample to try it for a few days to see if you like it. I always use a primer but even when I skip that step, it looks good and lies well on my skin.

Yeah. I really like it for coverage and feel. There isn't any sunscreen in it, but I use a mineral powder with sunscreen. I did just order her sunscreen to try since it won't clog pores on my face and is SPF50.

I also have very dry rosacea skin. For years used Clinique Stay True, but the color didn't seem to work anymore and also discontinued. Have been using Almay since but that to taken off market. But I do use Eucerin redness relief cream and that really has helped tone down the redness, you have to use consistently, but is a real life safer for me. Maybe I'll try some of the suggestions here for foundations. Thanks!
