Josie Maren LIGHT Argan Oil vs Reg. Argan Oil?

i watched the show yesterday when Josie was on and she was selling the Light Argan Oil. I have tried the regular version and loved it,but I am wondering what is the difference between the light version and the other? Some people in the reviews said that they light version gave them break outs, which seems contradictory if it's lighter in potency. But maybe they have changed the formula? Love to hear from those who have tried both and able to compare.

I have tried both and like them both. I'm surprised that anyone would breakout from the light if they don't have a bad reaction to the regular. I can use either but gravitate to the regular (just bought a new bottle). I feel that it gives my skin the best (longer lasting) hydration. But that could be in my head!

I have both too and I agree with you I prefer the regular, it just feels like it gives better hydration. I am currently using the light in the morning under makeup but won't repurchase.

Love the Regular. Have many backups.

The original is the 100% pure oil. The light version is the argan oil esters, not the oil. It's still labeled as 100% pure, but they have to do something to process the oil and pull out the esters. Something about that process could expose the oil to something that's causing problems for people.

I find the original oil too heavy for me for daytime use. I tried the light oil and liked it better, but still found it heavy for daytime. I prefer the Argan Milk for daytime use and the oils at night. Because of that, I'll choose the original over the light. I also like the original to mix into my hair color before I apply it.

The Light is fine and for under makeup it may be the better choice for all but the dry-to- driest skintypes. I like using the Light with Josies Tinted Moisturizer to give it a little more slip in texture. It's also a go-to for me when I'm home all day wearing no makeup or any other moisturizer product on my face. At night I go for the original oil.

Thank you all so much, this helps me decide to buy the regular again. I was very happy with it and hadn't seen the new light version until yesterday.
