Hi everyone-

So-here's the story: My hair is medium thickness (not fine or thick) but I have a lot of it and it was always wavy and a touch on the dry side. I would always have to blow dry it if I wan't putting it up because it was so "in-between" flat on top with wave at the bottom, that it looked stupid. Also, I have never liked anything in my hair that makes it hard or sticky- I constantly play with my hair.

I started using the SAM CC exclusively, including a generous amount as a leave in (more than recommended) and would clip my wet hair in a mop on top of my head and go to sleep (like always). The next day- A MIRACLE!!!!! I would let out the clip and it was like the impossible combination-my hair was soooooooo soft, but it was also super fluffy-so much that I has big bouncy curls (people didn't believe that i hadn't gotten a perm). The curls were not only defined but they stayed bouncy all day and- actually, as long as I clipped it up at night, lasted for three days. This was with no other styling product. I don't quite understand how it worked, but the SAM as a leave in acted, for me, as a completely non-sticky, non-crispy curl definer that was completely weightless!

Unfortunately, since I have had to color more often and the weather has gotten humid, my old routine stopped being sufficient. I got the same results the first morning, but within a few hours I had frizzies, less softness and my curls were back to my pre-wen half wavy, half flat state (not a good look).

I started with the replenishing mist- which does rejuvenate the style, but it doesn't quite get me back to what I had before and I need to go through a huge amount in order to maintain my style for the three days I go between washing.

So (sorry this is so long but I really hope someone can ID with my situation), I got the styling creme. I tried it using the recommended 2 pumps on soaking wet hair and didn't see any change. I also added a bit of the oil to my leave in but no difference.

One thing I am doing is that I will be adding some fig cc(if it ever gets here) hoping to address what seems to be a dehydration issue.

I know that in the past, I had always found that when air drying the hair, it was necessary to use more styling product than when blow drying.

So here's my question:

For those who air dry and have perhaps had a similar experience with wen ( wavy hair becoming more curly and bouncy), what do you do with the leave in and styling creme to get curl definition and body without any crispiness (I won't use any product that makes my hair crispy)? Aslo, do any of you apply after your hair is dry as well- perhaps as an anti-frizz- or to tame fly aways? I find it idfficult to do this with the replenishing mist- because I have to actually wet the hair to reform my curls and I can't reform them with my fingers but scrunch them which gives me much tighter curls (which is good) but crazy fly aways and frizz anfter it dries.

Thanks!

Sorry for being so long winded

By the way- as an update- I had posted a couple of weeks ago devastated that I was having hair loss. I am thrilled to say that I was able to figure out that the problem for me was a personal reaction to the tea tree CC (although I have no problem with the oil), which I had started mixing in. I switched to shampoo/conditioner and the hair loss stopped immediately. Then I used SAM as conditioner only and no hair loss and finally, I made the connection with the timing of the problem and the adding of the tea tree and decided to go back to SAM alone as my CC and everything is back to normal. I am sooooo...happy.
