Funny you should mention this issue. I don't have many lines on my face but my 11 lines are quite pronounced. Haven't wanted to do botox for a series of reasons. I am now on day four in my use of Frownies -- in short they are facial patches that are supposed to retrain those expression muscles to flatten out. Check out the comments on Makeup Alley. I am very pleasantly surprised how well it has worked so far. But as I said it is only day four.

I am desperate to get rid of my "11" line between my brows. My dermatologist said he wouldn't use botox because I have numerous allergies to a lot of things. What products out there actually work? He said nothing, but there must be something!!!!!

I was going to say botox. I don't really think anything else really works. Good Luck on your search and if I hear of anything I will come back. I just had botox and it was a breeze but I don't have allergies to anything but a kitty cat.

Too bad about the Botox -- I've decided that's the only thing that will really get rid of mine (they're DEEP!). Lisa R says she uses Botox on her 11's and loves the results.</>

And I agree with Wadzilla -- Dermaroller is a good option.

I think they have a juvederm filler that they could use. I was watching a video on YT (I think) about a product by juvederm that they use in cheeks to increase volume (I wouldn't do that)...but I bet they could use it in the 11 lines, too.

The problem even if you get a product that works is that you will continue to make the movements that are causing the 11's in the first place.

I would suggest trying some retin a, and there are a lot of products that encourage collagen production. I have a product called Frownies and while it doesn't do anything to get rid of the 11's it does train you to remember when you are making those movements that cause 11's. I have noticed I have cut down doing those movements a lot since I have been using them. I also have had good luck with the Paulas Choice C15 serum for lines. It really plumps my skin.

Can I ask what you have allergies to? I work as an aesthetician in a derms office. I get free treatments but believe it or not I have not had one injectable. I have an auto immune disease and I started taking heavy duty immunosuppressants in 2009 for it. It wrecked my immune system and I started getting very bad infections from even the smallest cut or any break in skin so I have avoided any injections for that reason. I haven't had an infection in over a year or so I have been thinking about getting a little botox in my 11's too. They aren't too bad but I want to do it for a preventative measure.

THEN google "Dr. Frankenstein reviews" and check out Yelp, etc. At least you might get an idea of who to start with, and the ultimate will be getting a consultation and you'll be able to know if you click and feel comfortable with the provider.
