Hi,

My unit was, and others also reported that their units were pre-charged.

As far as the tabs, I believe if they were not properly sealed I would have noted that.

Hi Ladies,

I was on advanced order for my Tria anti-aging unit, and it arrived today. I think I might have gotten a return….

While everything inside the box looked to be in order, the safety tabs on each side of the box had been cut open, and the unit is not charging… I'm assuming that it is already charged. My questions are, were the safety tabs on your boxes intact or cut open? And was your unit pre-charged?

Thanks in advance!

I called and was told that the tabs should have been sealed. He said that they had opened boxes to put in the new chargers, but it should have been resealed. he didn't have an explanation beyond that. He did say that they don't send out used units, and that QVC wouldn't send out a return. I'm a little skeptical, though.

Itsme, I just check my box and there are no seals. Mine came in a box that had a cover that slipped open like a book and then the box with the actual laser slid out and opened - no seals on that, either. Mine came mostly charged, and I have a fold down charger that doesn't work, have been using my computer while waiting for a new cord. Btw, QVC DOES send out customer returns - I've received 3 handbags, a pair of shoes and a pair of earrings that were all clearly customer returns. (Previously krissie62)

Thanks for your reply, Krissie. I had a similar package, but the actual box with the laser had two broken seals. I know they do send out returns on many items, but am hoping that they don't with this type of item. I'm glad there is a long return period!

Were you able to activate it? I wonder if it was a return if it already would have been activated. It sounds like yours came with one of the good cords, so maybe it was opened for that and not re-sealed. As long as it works, my main concern would be that you get all of the uses you are paying for. Good luck

What are the new/properly working plugs like?

It sounds like yours is a new one. I think the folding ones were what was causing the trouble. And that kind of makes sense since those who could plug it into their computers or use their own usb cords didn't seem to have any problem. With my new one, after a treatment it fully charges in a couple of hours or less. With my folding one, it took longer and longer, then overnight, then it never showed charged and it conked out during that treatment.

Like Snowball, my security tabs are slit but I was in just a frenzy to get it open I don't remember whether I did it or not.

BUT -- now I'm wondering: Maybe they finally got smart and replaced the plug before shipping? Maybe THEY opened the box, swapped out the chargers, and sent it on its way.

itsMe, I didn't keep my unit in the charger the first couple weeks, but now I do. I keep it plugged in and just put it back in the cradle when I am done. It will recharge for a little and then stop.

Level 3 really isn't that bad, but I actually like the feeling of it. Some gals here didn't think it was as bad either. Ice before using it. That helps some gals.

LOL

I was TERRIFIED of Level 2! And was going to proceed SO cautiously to L3 but literally decided to go for it as I was reaching for my Tria. Glad I did, otherwise I would have been stressing about it for a week.

I just got the Avene Thermal Water. I put it in the fridge and spritzed after my treatment last night. I've never felt such a GENTLE MIST from a facial spritzer. The cold water felt good, of course, but the delivery/mist was just so nice! I'm sure there are others out there that feel the same, but I was surprised and so pleased with this.

Other than that, it didn't miraculously do anything, take away the red, etc., but I didn't expect it to. Just a nice little end to the treatment. Kind of an "ahhhhh".

I do keep my device in the charger all the time because someone here posted that's what she was told by Tria customer service. It's interesting that some devices recommend that (like NuFace) and others don't (like Foreo Luna). Not sure one way makes that much of a difference (not being a battery expert) but it's always charged (and now charges fast!) so I'll keep plunking it back in the cradle after each treatment.
