On 4/19/2014 lovemygigi said:
Nice to see both of you, Bebe and beaches! I hope you both like it as much as I do. Feel free to let me know if you think otherwise. I won't take it personally and would love to know if you ( or anyone!) has a formula that they think is closer to the original.

DoxieMomma, I live in Southern California so orange trees are quite abundant here. My neighbors have one and I have always loved when it blooms. I was in Costco last week and they had dwarfs citrus trees for sale so guess which kind I came home with? I have always wanted an orange or satsuma tree but the SOB scent kicked that want into a must, haha! I reluctantly moved it outdoors after it was in the house for several days as it was dropping too many blossoms but smelled so wonderful I didn't want to! I potted it and have it under my bedroom window so I can smell it at night. That is when the scent really comes out!

Yay! So happy you were able to get your "own" citrus tree! I have two Meyers lemons and two satsumas that my man planted for me. I was really upset that this winter's "polar vortex" almost got them........thankfully, they survived. Now, since I'm enjoying the SOB products so much, I want more trees, but want to keep them in large pots. That way, I can shelter them in the cold and kinda "wheel" them around to wherever I want them........I've become a bit obsessed with the fragrance. Lol.

Spring Orange Blossom Oil - Sold Out!

It sold out during the show today although it is showing waitlist available, for those who wanted to get it I'd jump sooner rather than later. Last day at featured price.

I was very nervous about the SOB scent because I don't like florals, but got this oil and finally got the CC and am so loving it! At first I thought I was smelling more orange, maybe some lemon, itty bit of floral but then finally decided it just smells like grapefruit with a hint of blossom and couldn't figure out why. Just looked at the ingredients and there's the grapefruit... explains it all lol! I LOVE this scent!

It's amazing how different people pick out different scents...I think it smells like honeysuckle.

Since I don't like honeysuckle, this one has been a bummer for me. Up until now, I have loved all the seasonals.

I still have enough oils to hold me for awhile, especially after getting the TS with the 2oz bottles. I wasn't sure how I would like the SOB oil too, as I am kind of mixed on the scent of the cleansing conditioner, although it seems most people love it. Now, when 613 oil becomes available (why is THAT taking so long?) I'm sure I will go for that.

The scent is awesome enough that I succumed, lol! I am on waitlist but will get a bottle at my hair appt next month if it doesn't go through by then and cancel my waitlist order. I rarely buy the oils as I prefer to wait for specials or TSV's and get them that way. I must have ten bottles of oil in my stash so it's not as if I needed it. I loved the scent of the SOB so much that I bought a small bottle at the salon. I have been hoarding it and decided I needed a 4oz bottle.

O/T, but I made the BEST ever homemade RTM using the SOB oil, SAM CC and SAM styling cream. I have the 'real' SOB Replenishing Treatment Mist and can hardly tell the difference between that and my homemade one, scent or performance wise. I did end up using 2x more drops of oil than in the make-it-yourself RTM recipe and it made all the difference.

I would suggest making the RTM by the original instructions then adding more oil until it suits your sense of smell. My '2 x the drops of oil recommended' is an approximation as I didn't ( stupidly) write down how much more oil I added after I had made it per instruction. I know 2x is pretty close, though!

I did end up using 2x more drops of oil than in the make-it-yourself RTM recipe and it made all the difference.

lovemygigi, thanks so much for that recipe. My SOB oil is on it's way to me. I've got the SAM SC and a bit of the SAM CC left, so I'm definitely going to make that RTM recipe!!

-- bebe

Thanks lovesmygigi, I'm going to order the SOB oil and try this.

I put off my purchase for a little bit because I went crazy stocking up in the 12 oz RTM duo. I'll definitely followup when I do though. Lucky you living amongst the orange trees I envy you? Have a Happy Easter/Passover. Hope to see you soon.
