On 4/11/2014 glitzandglam said:
For ladies who have bought gallons, do you keep the gallon in your shower? Or do you transfer the product to a smaller bottle? (Is the latter hard? I hate the thought of a gallon product on my shower shelf. It's a glass shower so would be perfectly visible, LOL. The WEN bottles look nice because they;re pretty! )

I don't really have an answer to that because I have never used the gallon- but I know there was one poster who actually transferred the smaller bottles into the big gallon jug because she found that easier to use. I am only posting this as a shout out to her- where are you??

Hope you are okay!

Ok ladies. I'm thinking ahead. Last year I realized I had some inventory of styling products to last me the year so I went with a gallon rather than any TSV. It killed me every time there was a great TSV but I stood firm.
So I'm already trying to plan out whether to get the gallons again this year or get some TSV. I've averaged the price for the last 2 TSVs that I would get (I never get the Christmas one, just the ones with a 32oz and a 16oz plus extras) I have figured that per ounce it's cheaper to get the TSVs than to get the gallons.

Has anyone else done this math? Did you get the same conclusion?

If you use alot of the other products (besides the CC) that are usually a part of the TSVs then the TSVs are the better deal, imo. I don't use most of the other products so for me, the gallon is the better way to go.

noonedelights, after going through these calculations a number of times, I finally just crunched all the numbers and put them together in a thread. Drythe, you had to know I was all over this. Below you will find the information from post #2 of the Wen - Cleansing Conditioner Discovery Kits available at QVC thread. I've moved the information around a bit so that the information most relevant to your question is listed first.

If you are set on one specific formula, then the gallons may be the best bet. But if you can vary your CCs a bit, then the TSVs can offer a similar value while getting some additional products essentially thrown in for free. If you like the Seasonals, then the December TSV is the most cost effective option by far.

Additionally, if you scroll down farther, you'll find some Wen 16oz. CC sets -- which QVC regularly offers -- that are also good value for the money.

-- bebe

----

__

__

The Wen TSVs and June Gallons give the best value on Wen products. This hot link toWen TSVs going back to December 2009 -- items in TSV kits and prices will give you a sense as to what types of Wen TSVs are offered at various times of the year.

__

__

Price Calculations for Cost of Cleansing Conditioner Portion of TSVs

* assuming you were *just* buying the TSVs for the Cleansing Conditioner portion, below I've calculated the how 16 oz. & 32 oz. of CC *plus* S&H costs out in the various kits (and there is just a single S&H charge for each multi-piece TSV):

* Spring & Fall TSVs - $60 + $8.50 S&H - 48 oz. total CC - $22.83 / $45.66

* December TSV - $80 + $10 S&H - 80 oz. total CC - $18 / $36

* June Gallons - $177 + $8 S&H - 128 oz. total CC - $23.13 / $46.26

Regular price for bottles of Cleansing Conditioner + S&H - $35.22 / $56.72

* 16oz (A89153) - $29 + $6.22 S&H / 32oz (A238707) - $49.50 + $7.22 S&H

____

____

BEST WEN CLEANSING CONDITIONER DISCOVERY KITS FOR OVERALL VALUE

____

Best Values for Cleansing Conditioner Multi-Packs - only one S&H charge - as compared to individual bottles of cleansing conditioner

--

--

* Regular price - individual CC bottle + S&H - $35.22 (16oz) / $56.72 (32oz)

* 16oz (A89153) -- $29 + $6.22 S&H / 32oz (A238707) -- $49.50 + $7.22 S&H

--

--

4-pc.

I think the TSVs are always such an amazing deal. You basically pay for the 32 oz and practically get the other three items for free. And coincidentally or not the Fall TSV is usually the best. One year it even included a 4oz Re-moist and travel packs. I have gotten to try new things that I probably would never have ordered individually. And now the Re-moist is like my HG product so I would never want to be without. That being said it is always tempting for me to order a gallon of the TT- but I just feel I get to have more fun with the TSV.

I prefer to buy the TSV's since I use the ancillary products. Also, I rotate my formulas and it just makes more sense for me to have 32 ounces in many different formulas. Every time I think I'm going to get a gallon, I look at what I have on a/d and I prefer that than the gallons.

You rock bebe777! Thanks.

Thinking of buying a gallon of TT as it is my go to first cleanse, with fig being second cleanse usually mixed with BBGT, or 613, or seasonal. But, it seems like it would be such a comfort to have a gallon of FIG, TT & BBGT on hand. Oh well...

May get a gallon of BBGT if offered 'cause my Labradors and I share it!

I know NOTHING will keep me away from the kits especially the ones with 613!
I always purchased multiples of the TSV's as we use all the other products too. Last year was the first time ordering a gallon but this year I may up it to two gallons of the scents we use the most (TT and SAM) and continue to buy the multiple TSV's with various scents.

For ladies who have bought gallons, do you keep the gallon in your shower? Or do you transfer the product to a smaller bottle? (Is the latter hard? I hate the thought of a gallon product on my shower shelf. It's a glass shower so would be perfectly visible, LOL. The WEN bottles look nice because they;re pretty! )

I am only posting this as a shout out to her- where are you??

Hope you are okay!

I end up with Wen on the shower floor and walls.

My post was empty!

Try again. The gallon pump works best for me. Easier to use. At first I put Fig in small bottles but after comparing to the gallon pump I stayed with the gallon.

you don't have to use a full pump if it is too much for your hair or hands. You can use a half pump 2 times. This always works for me.

I am going to buy gallons again this June: fig and TT for sure.

Just curious -- has anyone figured out how many pumps are in a 16 oz bottle? I would like to know how many times I could wash my hair, if I actually used as many pumps as recommended.
