What are others doing that im not with the bare skin foundation

I have the right shade, but it looks dry on my face. Tried moisturizer still looked dry, tried primer no luck. I have been so looking forward to getting it, now I can't get it to give me a sheer natural look.

It will be interesting to read how everyone is using this. I just tried out for the first time, it took 6 drops. Two for each cheek, two for the forehead, nose and chin. It's decent enough coverage, maybe a little sheer but not bad. BUT, it does look rather dry on me too. I have dry skin though.

I don't have dry skin and it looks dry on me! Settles into pores. I'll try again with a different primer.

I wonder if you can apply it with your fingers? It's pretty runny but maybe. Or even try a sponge.

Got mine today, it looks so dry on me, drier than the original or the ready. I tan, got the caramel and it is still too light, such a bummer. It covers well, but boy is it dry

I posted on the other thread about this topic that I just don't have good luck applying foundation with a brush. I've tried many different brushes with many different foundations with no luck. I watch these youtube videos and these girls seem to apply foundations with brushes with no problem. I can try my fingers but it is a really thin foundation.

I have found that applying with fingers gives a smoother appearance. I really like the coverage and it's definitely a step up from It Cosmetics as well as Dr Gross' CC Cream but sadly I am beginning to believe that this product was basically meant for a younger crowd...as I too have somewhat dryer skin.

I am having the complete opposite problem. I have oily skin to start with, but this serum foundation makes my face look constantly oily, even with mineral veil. Also, I broke out today and this is the only thing new that I have used on my face. I packaged it up and back it's going! I feel bad because it had nice coverage, although I did find that it found ALL of my fine lines!!!! The only other Bare Minerals product that made me break out was the Ready foundation. Maybe there are some ingredients from that in the serum foundation? I don't think this product is for me!

I tried it with Bare minerals primer it worked a little better. I checked it out out doors it looked more like I was wearing a powder. I guess in summer when it hot it will look ok

I have drier skin to start with and I too find this settles into pores/lines I didn't even know were there that I've never seen with other foundation products, yet oddly enough by afternoon my face looks super oily. I'm 95% sure I'm sending mine back on Monday - just not working for me and I'm not willing to jump through hoops using primers, etc. and completely change my routine to get it to work when so many other things I have work just fine and make my skin look great.

Maybe you need to exfoliate. Do a peel and then try it. Just a suggestion.

I have combo normal/oily skin and usually I fight oil in my T-zone. I applied my usual moisturizer, then I used the brush to apply the new Bare Serum Foundation. I was taught to shoot for a 95% coverage, so I used only two drops for my entire face (one drop each side). I buffed, buffed, buffed. Then, I went back and applied concealer to the blemishes and imperfections. The finish was a mild dewy/satin (not matte) and it felt lightweight on my skin. At the end, I applied Mineral Veil over everything (like I would normally do). I like the finish and it doesn't feel oily or look oily on me.

Today I applied some new 5 oil blend, put on some Laura spackle, it is pretty fluid, went for a walk late this afternoon and it still looks dry although I have noticed that the more you shake it the less it looks dry so just shake it for a whole minute. I know they said to shake well but really shake it and see.

I agree that you need to shake the bottle like crazy before using it and shake again before each and every one or two drops that you dispense from the container during your makeup application. They were NOT kidding when they said that they didn't put in any emulsifiers in the formula. Shake, shake, shake.

I tried it today and was not thrilled as I expected to be. My pores looked huge and lines around the eyes were exaggerated. Ugh.

I too have dry skin but this does just the opposite. I look more ""dewy"" with this foundation than I do with the powder. Weird how different people have different experiences. I like it but I'm not sure how this will work for me when the weather gets hot and humid.

I tried this with primer, without primer, using 2 drops, using 1 drop, and no matter what I do, it settles into fine lines, creases, wrinkles & pores. I can see my makeup....not what I want to do. The first day I wore it, every time I passed a mirror I was shocked at how made up my face seemed. By the end of the day there is so much product settled into my lines around my mouth that I can't wait to wash it off. I have tried this product for 5 days and just can't live with it. It's being returned. I'm using my loose foundation today and I'm so much happier!

With each day it is getting better, glad I have not sent it back yet. Coor is still a little light so I put a little of the It foundation in the white compact over and it looks great. I think you just really need to shake shake shake.
