I like DriLo by Serious Skin Care for zits, also cornstarch powder as your setting powder will leave you drier and help with zits. Also Cosmedicine has a product called Oil Free Matte Lotion. I had a sample and I liked it for my t-zone. It can also be your primer and I believe it has SPF. Just google the name to find it online. I just checked and ebay has the product at reasonable prices.

I'm 56 and had an oily t-zone ever since my teens, until I learned about oil cleansing and finally gave it a try last fall. I've only tried one brand so I can't comment on all of them. All I can say is Dr. Young's Camellia Deep Cleansing Oil has been a godsend for me....soft, clean skin that stays that way all day - no more oily t-zone. The logic is this...when you strip the oils from your skin via drying products, you might look fine at first, but your skin sends a message to your brain, that it's dry, and the brain tells the oil glands to send more oil to your dry face. It creates a vicious cycle. On the other hand, cleansing oil dissolves facial oil, leaving your skin soft and moisturized as opposed to dry and stripped. Your own oil production stabilizes/normalizes within a short time. It's worked for me.

Proactive works, but I think it's pretty harsh and, because of the benzoil peroxide, it may leave you with horribly spotty sheets and/or towels.

I preferred the Clinique Acne Solutions set, which mostly uses salicylic acid in most products, but does have BP in at least one product - I think the moisturizer.

I also really like Origins Out of Trouble Mask for times when I'm oily or breaking out. It works well as a mask in the T-zone or all over, but I used it more often as a spot treatment I would sleep with.

I'm not familiar with Proactiv's new line, but I did use the original when I had a bad acne flare up in the late 90s. It worked very well to treat and prevent acne, but over the years in an effort to save money and just to try new products, I was able to find substitutes for Proactiv.

I use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser at night, followed by a glycolic/salicylic pad and CeraVe moisturizer. I keep an acne spot treatment around in case I feel something about to pop up.

I have also used Retin-A in the past and just recently started up again a couple of weeks ago. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Right now I'm tapering up on it, one night on, two nights off, to try and lessen any flaking/drying.

Good luck finding the right products to clear up your skin and get you looking radiant!

You could try Paula's Choice products. On the Paulas Choice website you can look for products by the issue you are trying to address as well as by skin type (combination, oily, dry). I use her products for a different issue but I also wanted anti-aging benefits to work on wrinkles and I like the results I am seeing.

I just posted a thread on a product called Buzz On Acne that you can order from their website. It is a light spray of organic ingredients that you could use on your bumps. Cleared up a huge painful zit I had on my chin in 2 days. You could wear it under skincare or make up. It is not harsh on your skin. Very effective.

Proactive is way too harsh for my sensitive skin. I recently discovered Dr Dennis Gross, (he is here at the Q and Sephora). His all over blemish solution is awesome under makeup and I like his acne eliminating pads. Works wonders on my oily forehead acne.

Isomers Daily Exfoliating Cleanser cleared up my breakouts & the Isomers Retinaicin cleared up the red marks left from it. The combo also cleaned out my pores & made them smaller. The Retinaicin should also help with wrinkles. I use several other Isomers products.
