meme1, that's a tall order. I suggest first perusing the site from top to bottom to get a feel of the land.

I would say, though, that with some notable exceptions, it is primarily a site for what I think is excellent skin care. Makeup, IMO, is somewhat of an afterthought, although the matte eyeshadow palette is gorgeous.

Paula's Choice is what I use for my primary skin care. Her products are fragrance- and irritant-free, cruelty-free, moderately priced, and full of excellent ingredients.

Decide what you need for you skin, look around, then call and ask for recommendations. Be sure to ask politely for free samples of whatever is advised or whatever you're interested in.

What are your skin concerns?

I am 38 with slightly dry skin. My main skin concern is dark spots. I am currently using Moisture Boost Cleanser, Resist BHA 4% foam (use this every third night), Resist Daily AHA 5% Treatment (use on nights not using foam),Resist Intensive Retinol Serum (use every night), and Resist Super Light Spf 30. I am planning on adding the C15 booster and Skin Recovery Moisturizer when I use up what I am using. I am also going to add a daytime serum with the C15 but not sure which one yet.

I am also using some of her makeup. I use her Nude eye shadow palette, New Mascara ( lengthening something? Can't remember name), bronzer, liquid lipsticks and Resist Satin Finish Powder.

I honestly LOVE everything I am using and have already purchased backups of the retinol serum and sunscreen. They have the best customer service! I emailed them to ask about samples of the retinol serum and they sent three for free. I strongly suggest emailing or calling them.

The matte eyeshadow palette that she and Wayne Goss just recently collaborated on has received excellent reviews. It is all neutral (nude) shades. I love it. I have the Urban Decay Naked Basics, which is good, but it has only six shades. This one has 12. It's very high quality, with a good selection of colors.

I've been using Paula's cleansers for too long to remember! I also use her sunscreen every day. I'm not one to use a lot of products on my face. My routine is very simple. My skin is combination, and I couldn't live without these two products. I have her 2% BHA, but I'm not faithful to that. I recently ordered her Resist moisturizer with sunscreen, so we'll see how that goes.

I have used her makeup in the past. It's good. I'm just too fickle to stick to one brand!

Meme1, I am so glad you have brought up this topic. I don't have any suggestions for you as I am looking at skin care options that will work for me as well. I think I will check out the website this weekend. I love the cruelty free and go green policies that she adheres to. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I've been using her products for two years now and they have made a big difference in my skin. I like how she has products for all skin types and they are fragrance and irritant free. If you don't like a product, let them know and they will refund the purchase price. Great service and lightning-fast shipping. I would say that the product that has made the most noticeable difference for me is her Vitamin C serum. Her Resist retinol serum and BHA exfoliants are also great. Do your research, contact them with questions and then you can decide if you want to try it out.

I'm new to Paula's Choice products (I have only been using them for 2 weeks) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them so far.

I bought a few samples and I was so impressed that I went back and bought a ton of products. It takes awhile to test out products to see which ones you like and work the best for you and since it has only been a couple weeks I'm still experimenting. Before I even purchased the samples, I spent quite a bit of time going through her website to educate myself and determine what products would be best for me to start with.

Right now my favorites are her skin recovery and Earth Sourced cleansers and toners, the super anti-oxidant serum, Resist daily spf moisturizer, Resist anti-aging foundation, skin recovery moisturizer and her shampoo and conditioner.

What kind of coverage do you get with the Resist Foundation? I love her Resist Satin Finish Powder and was thinking of trying the foundation but I don't know if it would have enough coverage for me.

I LOVE Paula's products and, her customer service reps are GREAT. I especially love that you can try her products by purchasing the trial sizes. What I love about her website is that I can look up products and find out about them before purchasing. I hope she never comes on QVC because she offers fair pricing, great coupons with free shipping .

Perhaps if you could tell us what skin concerns you have. What do you want to accomplish? What type of skin do you have?

For example, I'm 63 and my skin is combo/oily. I wanted to even out my skin tone and texture and brighten up my skin. I'm also interested in anti-aging. Once I knew what I wanted to achieve, I knew which products to research.

After you've done that, share your skin type and goals with us, and we can recommend specific Paula items.

I too have been using her items and like them enough that I've bought seconds and thirds. There is usually a code online to save 15% and/or free shipping. Currently, if you go to MrRebates.com you'll find a code like that.

I have normal to dry skin. I really like Paula's Choice products. I am pretty consistent with several of her products - Resist Daily Moisturizer w/ SPF25, Moisture Boost Cleanser, Skin Recovery Toner, Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant serum, Moisture Boost Moisturizer & Lip and Body Treatment Balm (the BEST lip balm!). I've tried many of her products and have really not been disappointed in any that I've tried. But I've narrowed down the ones that work for me & those are the ones I continue to repurchase. You really can't go wrong with this skincare line.

I use quite a few of Paula's products; however, I am really uncertain about the matte eye palette and bronzer I just received last week and have used a few times. Not sure yet about the color payoff. I also got the Resist powder but it's going back. As for the skincare, I have used quite a few of her products over the years - still do - and almost all have been successful for me. Both my kids use the Skin Balancing line, too.

I love her products. I use the 2% BHA liquid (now from the clear line, less shiny when applied), the retiniol resist serum, the vitamin C from the resist line and the ultra light spf 30 from the resist line as well. Love these products!

You can see that they work asap. I apply the retinol serum around my eyes and I can see a month later that my skin is thicker so my veins do not show through as much as before. The Vitamin C is so great at brightening the skin. No irritation for me whatsoever.

Gotpaw, why didn't you like the bronzer? I'm thinking of buying it. (Fair skin with cool undertones)

I just started using the 2% BHA Liquid, and while it's too soon to see results, (just 3 days into it), I was impressed that I could call her customer help line on a Saturday with a question about how to use the product. That's good customer service, in my opinion.

I am not sure what she didn't like but am guessing since she mentioned color payoff, the bronzer did not have enough depth (not sure that the right word to use). It is sheer which I love because my skin is light and most bronzers look Orange on me and I have to use a really light hand or they look way too dark. I love Paula's because it gives me just enough color and I don't have to worry about over applying it. The bronzer is also matte which works perfect for me.

The Resist powder has a Satin Finish and is sheer. I like it mostly because of the finish it gives my skin. If I had one complaint it would be that I wish it did offer some coverage. I have brown spots and anything that helps cover those is a plus. I will most likely repurchase it because of the satin finish and excellent color match to my skin (I got the second lightest color which I believe is called light/medium-my skin is a true light neutral).

Paula's Choice is my favorite skin care brand. I'm not a price shopper - I will pay anything, but her products provide RESULTS that no other line does for me. I like PTRoth and Dr. Denese too, and even a little Perricone, but at the end of the day, I always end up going back to Paula's products. That said, other than the new mascara and bronzer, her makeup products have never really worked well for me.
