O/T Diane Sawyer's makeup

Her makeup always look so lovely! She has beautiful skin anyway but her makeup always looks so fresh! I would love to know what products she uses. The colors are so flattering on her eyes also.

You and I both. I have seconded every conversation you have started on Diane, and, as I have written before, I'm not even a blonde. She looks so gorgeous and natural. What does she use on her magnificent skin?

Yes, but if you saw her interviewing Chris Christy then you would get a better look at the REAL Diane Sawyer. She looks great on the evening news. But, as we all know, make-up, lighting, hair, sleep, do wonders.

It's not just her makeup, it's her beautiful skin.

I did a screening of one of her husband's movies. She was with him. She and I were chatting afterward and she looks just as breathtaking up close -- that skin! You could not see the makeup on her face, I swear. She's obviously taken exceptional care of it for years. Her mother was there, too, and her skin looked like the rest of us. :-)

As a side note, when she first came up to me to ask me a question, I leaned in to hear what she was saying. I put my hand on her arm and almost fainted at the ethereal touch of the cashmere on her blazer. I have never felt anything like it! I'd describe her skin that way, too -- ethereal.

I remember reading a few years ago that she uses a L'oreal lipstick but I don't remember the name/color.

Sky, I did see it and realized that she, too, can look tired. (Didn't want to write about it in this sweet message from the OP, but I had the piece in the back of my mind when I wrote my first response.) I wondered if she fretted over the questions or if she hadn't slept well. Still, she looked good. True, not as good as she does on her news program, but for a woman of 67 (?), she still looked like a woman of "unexpected beauty." I just thought of that phrase, and I hope it conveys what I mean.

She started in her youth taking care of herself and has good genes. Wasn't she a Junior Miss pageant contestant many years ago? I also read in an article about her that she claimed to have gained some weight and was very upset by it and she re-evaluated her eating habits and has since kept her trim figure. She is someone who acts on something she doesn't like about herself and I have always enjoyed reading about her.

I'm sure Diane didn't 'fret over the questions'. She's a 5 time Edward Morrow award winning newscaster. She doesn't 'fret' over Chris Christy!!! My gosh, she's interviewed many heavy weights, no pun intended; Watergate, Nixon, many foreign leaders & presidents.

Fyi...she has had several facelifts. Just saying. She's mortal like all of us.

She is human. One never knows if she was troubled by an interview, despite her acknowledged strengths and kudos. Life is complicated, as are people. In the end, it might have been nothing more than disturbed sleep.

Her makeup reminds me of the look I get with Trish McEvoy! The colors are natural and subtle. . . and they look so fresh on paler skin! I really don't need much makeup now that I've found the right colors for me.

I have been a fan of Diane's for many years. In 2009 I visited the "Good Morning America" studio when she was a co-host. During breaks, we got to take photos with the hosts. She greeted us warmly, asked us where we were from, and thanked us for coming. She looks as lovely now as she did then.

I miss the days when the show had Charlie Gibson, Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts and Sam Champion!

That's because she never over-does it! Like LuLu now, who looks so "youthful" and fresh. Unlike the gobs of liner, false eyelashes and caked on this and that from our illustrious QVC vendors and hosts. I much prefer that fresher look!

How exciting that you got to meet her! Wow! I also miss that host combination, you listed some of my favorite news personalities.

I think she is so lovely. I know she probably has makeup artists to help her with her makeup but it must not be very hard to do her makeup, her skin looks just smooth as silk. She just has great skin, which doesn't hurt makeup application! Maybe she's had work, I don't know but I can't really tell she's had anything done. She doesn't look very different now vs. years ago, except for very minor lines around her eyes. She looks a lot younger than she is, I think.

I think at times she must look tired but then we all do. I also think her hair is gorgeous. I hope I look as good as she does when I am her age!

Ladies, Diane has had a lot of work done. Just look at pictures of her 10 years ago or more and today. She does have beautiful skin but she has had work done and I am sure she does plenty of maintenance. Women on television, especially the older ones, can't afford to not look good or out they go.

I do not watch evening news, but was a fan of GMA mornings for years. Loved Diane's choices of outfits on the show, especially that she liked heels and leather skirts. Have no idea what she wears on the news show.

If so, it was done well. She still looks like Diane Sawyer -- she does not look "done". I am horrified by the people who have scads of money to be able to afford the best plastic surgeons and come out and look like they've had work done -- there's something off about them. I remember when Linda Dano did it and was so happy with the results (and that's what matters -- her happiness, not what I think) but I thought she just looked...different somehow. I think Diane Sawyer looks wonderful.

If women in the news business have any plastic surgery, it really has to be really natural looking ... they are back on camera quickly and a drastic change will be the talk of the country!
