Not sure what to do with my hair between cleanses. I cleansed yesterday and I want to try to go a couple of days before I cleanse again. Today, I wet my hair in the shower, put in POM cc as a leave in and used 613 sc. I air dryed because I have curly hair. My hair is VERY soft and it looks ok, but not exactly what I want. I guess it's just trial and error.

I have curly hair. I mist my hair with water from a spray bottle and get it a little damp. After that, I mist it with a botanical spray (I use Botanical Boost, from Ouidad, but you can also use WEN Replenishing Treatment Mist or any other refresher.) I do that because it adds moisture and helps prevent frizz that just adding water will cause. That reactivates my products, but if I need a little more help to redefine and prevent frizz, I'll add a little more of my styling product and air dry.

My styling product of choice is Curl Keeper, but Curly Hair Solutions. I've tried all of the WEN styling products, going through several bottles of most, and determined that none of them gave me what I needed. The best of them was the mousse, which gave me more definition, gloss, and hold than the styling cream.

If I'm on third-day hair, then I might use a dry shampoo, but I usually don't need to on second day hair.

For between cleanses, the replenishing treatment mist works wonders! I just mist it on in the morning and once its dry (as hair gets damp) I comb and go. Now if I had a rough night and hair is everywhere, bed head, I do the same but run a flat iron over it. And viola just like day one.

It is trial and error.

I had the trial size RTM in SAM and it was okay. When that bottle was empty, I made one with a healthy pump of Fig CC and water. That does wonders for my hair!

I wish the RTM worked right for me. If I go to the trouble of curling my hair with hot rollers on Day One, I can sometimes use the RTM on Day Two, on the length of my hair, to revive it a little, but most of the time RTM just continues to make my hair softer, greasier, and dirtier. I honestly believe it makes a difference on what kind of hair you have to begin with. Fine hair, like mine - forget it. I think those with dry, coarse, or curly hair are more successful.

Today was my second day hair. I put it up in the shower so it just got slightly damp, I mixed a pea size sc and a drop of oil, scrunched it in, put some Velcro rollers in for a few minutes and had a smooth bob. I wouldn't have bothered with the rollers except I had a business meeting. Tomorrow will be third day, and for Tai Chi, I'll just pull it back with a headband.
