Trish McEvoy Eye Base Color?

Hi All,

I wanted to take advantage of the TM F&F sale, but I have had absolutely no experience with the eye base essentials colors. I am 42, a light-medium complexion, with yellow undertones. I am looking at the Demure shade, but worry about it being too sparkly or light, or both. Maybe I should go with the Bare, or the Sand instead?

Any descriptions of the colors would be mucho appreciated!

You could go with Bare.

That color shade worked on me and I have similar skintones. Bare is the color that comes with the planners. I didn't care for this eye base as it made my eyes water, gives a crepe-y look and it sets up too quickly. All of TMcevoy eye makeup affected my sensitive eyes except one mascara.

Save some $$ and try Maybelline Dream Lumi in Buff Chamois.

Love her eye base I too have sensitive eyes I also wear contact I do not find it drying I think a little goes a long way I like the sand better then bare but I have so many free samples I will use them up first . No crepeyness she has skin conditioners in her products.

Don't waste your $! I bought it and the consistency is too thick and didn't go on well. Ended up in the trash can.

Wow. Thank you so much for the advice. I will save my money; the last thing I need is crepey-looking eyes, lol. Any other recommendations? I have heard good things about the Paula Dorf primer.

Try Lorac's.. designed for older lids to keep shadows smooth. It's called Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.

The Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eye Primer is also very nice. I'm still using a sample size and it's great. It has a little bit of a tint.

My fave is bare-no sparkle. It is a natural neutral & covers up the darkness on my lids. I've tried other brands-UD, Benefit, etc. but so far nothing works as well as Trish. I tried Nude but didn't like it-too much of an orangy tone for me. But it's not cheap so I also try to get it whenever there is a special.

Save your money and go buy Laura Mercier's eye base. It is better than Trish's and I love Laura's. I use the Linen shade.
