Very best demi- or semi- permanent color there is??????

I'm desperate- I have to do something drastic and temporary for an event the first week of April. It will be going onto gray, but I don't need something for over one weekend. What's your absolute favorite?

I like Ion demi-permanent hair color available at Sally beauty supply. I do think it lasts longer than just a weekend (probably 1-2 weeks). You can get it online if you don't have a store nearby.

i would also recommend Color Brilliance semi permanent hair color from Sally Beauty. It's very easy to do and doesn't damage the hair. I use it every month or 5 weeks to cover/ blend in the gray. I'm sure it would work well for you

When I colored my own hair, I thought Ion at Sally's was superior to drugstore brands.

I too suggest ION color brilliance - it is called a Semi but it is a temporary color. It washes out after 4 or 5 shampoos. I use this for roots in-between colorings. This is not a DEMI! You do not mix with developer. The Clear Shine you can mix or use on its own if you just want a high shine.

If you have a lot of white this particular ION won't cover - but it might stain.

If you want to go up to a demi, Wella Color Charm and Developer is good and it washes out gradually.

You can get a packet of Care & Comfort to protect sensitive scalp. I use these products constantly so feel free to ask away....

I would avoid Natural Instincts there is a lot of peroxide in it.
