Paging HappyDaze, etc. about cruelty free products

I wanted to try to include all the posters (and I wish I could remember all the names) who are against animal testing on cosmetics about some good news that I read from the American Anti-vivisection Society.

Their website has an article about House Bill 4148 that was recently introduced about abolishing these types of tests. It is very good reading and some very uplifting (and way overdue) news.

Paragraph 3 indicates that China plans on phasing out the mandatory testing as well. Finally, some good news that I wanted to share in helping our plight for the animals.

Thanks for posting. I had heard that China was working on doing away with animal testing. To me it should be against the law in terms of testing for the sake of cosmetics. Technology has come so far, it so cruel and unnecessary to harm animals. It amazes me what is considered ok in our country. If someone is caught harming an animal, they face charges but companies can do it for the sake of testing and it is fine. There are other ways do do these test that don't involve harming anyone.

I too am against any animal testing. In today's day and age not necessary. Trying to revamp all my makeup to be cruelty free.

THANK YOU!! This is such encouraging news! I have been trying to steer away from anything that is tested on Animals. What is amazing to me is, when they test on these animals for allergies, irritations, etc., then why is it that we can still have different reactions to these products? It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know that Humans and Animals are TOTALLY DIFFERENT in all aspects of EVERYTHING! I have really been keeping this in my Prayers that this Cruelty will stop. Now, if this could also come about on abortion. One never knows, but can only hope and Pray. Thank you again for starting a very wet, foggy, icy, yucky Monday off with some Ray of Hope!
