Even when QVC says your item has shipped.....it hasn't really

There was a thread on here earlier this week (but can't remember which forum it was in) about how QVC's processing time is getting longer and longer and longer. Well.....even when the item FINALLY ships....it hasn't really shipped. After 4 days of my order "processing", I finally got an e-mail saying it shipped. However.....when you take the UPS tracking number and go to UPS dot com and plug in said tracking number.....it says, "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status will be updated." So even though they say it's shipped.....it's still sitting in their warehouse. We ship stuff here at work by UPS all the time, and I create a label for the shipment, sometimes 2-3 days before it actually leaves our office. But until I actually take the box to UPS, it's not shipped! But then again, I don't tell someone that we are sending them something until I actually take it to UPS.

Nice to know. Thank you for the explanation. One of my recent items had free shipping and that took several days to show that it shipped. I figured since it was free they would take their good old time sending it. Well maybe it really has not shipped yet.

Interesting post. I just had 2 things that sat in processing for almost a week. I got a notification that they had shipped on Tuesday and they were on my door step on Wednesday. That is next to impossible. I live in the Midwest. Nothing gets from East Coast to Midwest in a day.

ITA, lots of problems with their tracking. I ordered some body cream a few months ago. It sat "in process" for almost a week. I decided to cancel because I got tired of waiting and was unable to cancel, I was told it is in the processing of shipping. They could not give me information on whether it had shipped or not.

The next day it showed up on my doorstep, UPS delivered, and when I went back to check my account that night, it still said "in process".

I think there is a lot of problems with tracking data on QVC packages. You either get insufficient or incomplete tracking information. It's even worse with post office packages.

It's frustrating for sure. Both QVC and HSN had an informational video a while back on what happens when you order.

Your item is not still sitting in the warehouse, it's actually sitting in a truck trailer. The trailers don't depart until they are full and depending on location the item is being shipped to some trailers fill up faster to the appropriate hub than others.

I currently have 1 item from QVC in the same situation, and 2 items from HSN that have been showing that status for 3 days now.

Whatever. All I know is for months, my orders have been shipped out within a day or two after I placed the order and my packages arrive in 4-5 days. And I use USPS delivery. My friends and co-workers say the same thing. We love QVC's speedy delivery! Even that QVC excersize bike I ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived in a week. And that was a heavy box.

For many people QVC orders say in process. After 4 or 5 days, the product ships. I, like many, copy the tracking label and go to the UPS website in order to track a package. I also get "label is created ......". On the day, the item arrives is when the UPS tracking is updated. You are not the only one. Please don't fret the small stuff.

I have been waiting a week for mine to ship. Finally contacted CS. They said oh it takes a week before it ships! You will still get it on the EDD. Interesting...today is EDD, so decided I would just go cancel it & go to store & buy. Oh guess what when I pulled it up it said "shipped" but like the others you go over & look & UPS says it just has a label printed not shipped! I told CS I was going to just cancel & wow how interesting that now I cant! I think they should post somewhere that your order will not ship for a week or more. At least then you will know not to expect it for awhile. Problem is the pants I ordered are all sold out in my size & color now. I posted in another post, I ordered a bed for my dog from Petco.com on Tues. afternoon around 4 & just looked this morning to see if it has shipped yet & it is due to be delivered this afternoon! And it was free shipping!! WOW

Buck i Nana, thanks for explaining this. I made a post on the TSV forum this morning wondering where the ladder TSV from last weekend is, why the tracking at UPS just says a label has been made but they have not accepted them item yet. That makes sense but it is till aggravating!

I feel sorry for the UPS drivers that have to deliver the ladders all this week and next, poor guys/gals!

Wow henny, that is some fast shipping thru Petco.com, nice.

I bought my hubby a nice little HP chromebook at Christmas time thru Buydig.com and I rec'd it in 2 days with free s&h. I was shocked!!

I've found the best way to keep up with all UPS deliveries is by using their free "UPS My Choice" program (you can pay for added features, but I've never found that to be necessary).

Essentially, once you register the website will always notify you via email, text or voice (your choice) immediately when a package with your name and address has been shipped. The UPS website "sees" your name/address and triggers a notification to you. And you can add options to get subsequent email, text or voice updates on the progress, including an alert when the parcel is placed at your door.

I have to say I have received all my orders in a timely manner, sometimes sooner than I expect. Also the same with my returns. Returned some capris on Monday and it already shows as a refund on my account. I guess I have been lucky because I have read so many posts about this issue.

I have an order that I placed 3/10, it "shipped" on 3/12, but still only says label created when I track it. It's so freakin annoying that it takes so long for it to actually move. QVC's shipping is terrible.
