Anyone Use The CC For Hand Wash?

I read that some do but I didn't know if it was the body wash or the CC for hair. I didn't know if they kind of watered it down and I think it was mentioned they added a little TT oil, didn't know if I was the one for from WEN or regular TT you buy at the stores. My hands get so dry during the colder months I'm wanting to try using WEN . Thanks

Hi! I have used the CC as body wash. I would like to try the BCC but have not yet. I think you could use either as hand wash.

What does it contain to kill germs? It will need to contain something or you will get sick.

I think that was what the TT oil is for, I just didn't know if was WEN oil or essential TT oil. I heard Chaz say that is what he uses in his house to wash his hands with, don't know if it was the body cc or hair cc though.

That would be the essential you get from the local herb shop. His version isn't strong enough concentrated, plus there are other things in there. The pure stuff is strong enough.

I have a bottle of the essential TT oil, so I'll add a couple of drops to a small bottle and try that.

With two cleanses at least every other day, I wash my hands with it plenty!

But by the sink in self defense I like an antibacterial soap. I am around hospitals and such all the time and I just got to feel like I have to in self defense. The use of antibiotics in soap in always a sore spot with me though as I believe we are breeding super bugs. Sorry for getting OT there.

Hey, I agree, we grew up without antibacterial soap and lived , but if I was around a hospital a lot I would want to use it.

The foaming and suds you get when washing your hands with soap is actually what cleanses your hands. When you rinse it off, the dirt and germs are also rinsed away. I would think that since WEN doesn't foam up like regular soap it wouldn't wash away the germs and dirt. It may make your hands soft but not really clean.

I use the TT body cleanser to wash my hands, have the big 32oz bottle next to the sink. The antiseptic properties of Tea Tree works great for me.

I have added it to another bottle mixed with water, but don't do that anymore. Just a tiny squirt does the trick. I wash my hands probably 15 times a day and that big bottle lasts forever.

The BCC is all I use to wash my body too, all I've used for about a year now.

I use the CCs I don't like for my hair as body wash, and they work quite nicely.

tigress, I wouldn't think of putting antibacterial soap on my body!

I use the CC's as a body wash and I do not 'get sick.' The CC's are perfectly suitable for washing normal skin. Your statement that 'it must contain something', is pretty broad. As a certified herbalist I caution you that you should NEVER put any essential oil, 'pure' or not, on your skin without proper dilution.

This is just my opinion: soap and hot water will cleanse the hands, even if it's Ivory and tap water.

Tea tree oil is an antifungal, so it targets fungus; and antibacterials target bacteria. Neither of them target viruses (ie, cold or flu) like soap and hot water.

Angel, I have a bottle of LAV that I use for miscellaneous. I tried it as a hand wash, but mentally I need suds.

I use the BCC and CC every day quite a few times a day for hand washing. I have not gotten sick and yes my hands are clean.....and soft. If I forget and use something else my hands look horrible and dry.

beaches, that is the reason I was wanting to use WEN to wash my hands with,I bought L'Occitane Bon Mere hand wash hoping that would help my hands but they still feel dry and look horrible even using this and I wash my hands a lot to.

I started using a small amount of Lav with my regular pump hand wash. I like it! I get the softness from the CC and the suds from the soap.
