What are your thoughts on Chanel, YSL, Sisley, Guerlain cosmetics?

I do love the fresh colors of Chanel and the classic sun kissed looks from Guerlain. What's your experience?

I use Guerlain Meteorites and love them. Have not tried the Guerlain Terra Cotta because I have been using California Sun Glow (Steiner) for almost 20 years and still love it.

I use Chanel color cosmetics for the most part and just love it. The skin care has way too much perfume for me and when I did use it, found it to be nothing special. Years ago I started a Sisley skincare regiment and used the products faithfully for 6 months, I found my results to be average. I have a friend who uses the total Guerlain skin care line and her skin is beyond incredible gorgeous - she swears by the products and by the looks of her skin, so do I. The cost of the skincare is beyond my comfort zone, but I did splurge once and bought the serum, and it's pretty fabulous!

I've used the Guerlain Meteorites everyday for years. They literally last for years and impart such a lovely finish. YSL lipgloss is a nice gloss with some pretty shades, but I am not a fan of the taste. Chanel blushes are fine, but I didn't rush back to repurchase. I've got plenty of others I like better.

Chanel Foundations are excellent and beautiful; YSL makes a mascara-volume-that truly imparts a false eyelash look if you really want some drama. Of course, Chanel fragrances are lovely, but that is so personal. Guerlain Kiss Kiss lipsticks are supposed to also be fine quality. I have never used Sisley so I cannot comment on that line.

Love Chanel make up. I love the way it looks, the way it smells, and the colors. I like the frivole color blush.

After trying lots of drugstore, department store and QVC cosmetics, I finally discovered Chanel. I use the foundation, blush and eyeshadow. The colors work for me and last. Yes, it's expensive but I don't buy it that often and best of all, I'm not buying a bunch of other stuff that eventually goes in the trash because it's not "quite right." It really is a good feeling to know that when I use the products, they'll do what I want. I buy from Nordstrom and know if something doesn't work, it could go back with no issue.

I've tried things from all of the lines, but never really loved anything, except for Le Jour De Chanel serum. For some reason that serum works wonders on my skin & I love it!

Chanel eye shadows and blushes for me. Thy are finely milled and the colors are gorgeous and, mot importantly, they LAST. I also enjoy their lipsticks, but I do drop a ton on the drugstore variety.

I stick with Isomers skincare.

I purchase Chanel products here and there and I've been really impressed with many of the things I've tried. I LOVE their lipsticks. And I really like a few of their shadows. They seem to last and have nice pigmentation. I have never purchased Guerlain. And I think only one item from YSL ever (a lip stain/balm that was just ""meh"").

I love Chanel color cosmetics. Once in a while I feel guilty about the cost and try a cheaper brand. I'm never happy and go right back to my Chanel. The foundation is perfection. I used the skin care off and on but realized it smelled better than it provided results. However since I used it in my younger days I credit it with at least delaying the inevitable aging. I've also used Sisley and found it too greasy for me. Nothing beat YSL Touche E 'clat for a quick highlight and concealer.

I love Chanel shadows, but I don't buy them due to the exorbitant price. I only buy the Chanel le Volume mascara. I love that mascara though it's a bit hard to remove.

I've used cosmetics from all those lines (exception Sisley which I have only used some skincare from) and Chanel is probably the one I have favored the most. They really make some gorgeous blushes, shadows, foundations and mascaras.

I've also been a big Dior fan. My downfall would always be getting to know the SA's too well. But that also had it's benefits as they would give me lots of samples and often almost full sized products that were meant for the counter but never really got used.

Guerlain and YSL get my attention everytime. Have used a good bit from these two and highly recommend their products. Sisley I have only used an eyeliner and shadow and liked very much. Chanel has great shadows and blushes.

To the OP, I used to love Chanel but so many of the shades now do not work for my extremely pale skin and there is too much shimmer (at 50, it's just too much, lol). Sisley is my favorite but I've loved that line for YEARS. Skincare especially. I do find that the colors ARE fresher.. maybe brighter? Not sure but they work for me in ways that most lines don't. I also like that there are not an overwhelming number of products to choose from... sometimes it's just overload, you know? Enjoy!!!

The colors of lipstick, blush, and eyeshadows in Chanel is fabulous. Luxurious is the word which comes to mind regarding the textures and feel of these products. They do need to work on their foundation shades for women of color. Many of the tones seem poorly thought out in terms of the undertones. The colors seem off and look ashy on the face even if the shade appears right in the bottle.

I have a similar opinion regarding Yves Saint Laurent Cosmetics. The colors are so true to how they appear in the containers and they have that luxurious texture which lets you feel why you spent that extra money. I'm still a big fan of Touche Eclat.

I haven't used that much Guerlain, but they have the best bronzers of any brand in any price range. The Meteorites are AWESOME!!!

Sisley is a brand which I don't pay much attention to. The products may be good, but nothing ever strikes me as something I must try.

I have used Sisley' cream foundation in the black tube and have to say it's wonderfully creamy and long lasting.
