I don't know if I buy "universally flattering" for anything any more than I buy "once size fits all", but here are my recommendations:

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blushes. My favorite shades are Dollface (pink), Blissful (peach), and Exposed ("nude").

My own lips are very pigmented, so my own My Lips But Better Shade is usually a darker rosy or mauve nude. I like:

Tarte's matte LipSurgence in Exposed

Hourglass Femme Rouge lipstick in Fresco

NARS lipsticks in Damage, Mayflower, and Dolce Vita.

If you want a red lipstick that's pretty universal, I like Hot Tahiti, by MAC.

The eyeshadow recommendations were outstanding.

Now what is a great universally flattering powder blush brand/shade and a universally flattering (my lips but better) brand/shade lipcolor? What are your favorites in blush and lipcolor?

Thanks a lot. I am tired of my old cosmetics and I need a fresh start.

What is your coloring? I am fair with bluish-green eyes and I definitely cool-toned. I just bought the Bobbi Brown (matte) blush in Pretty Pink. It looks scary in the pan, but it's a very pretty flush of pink, and a nice spring shade I think. If you like and can wear pinks, it's a nice one. Use a light hand.

I also bought her limited edition Illuminating bronzer in Be Pretty (Antigua). This is pretty over the blush.

I am also loving her new Sheer lipstick in Pink Rose and Pink Flush. If these shades work for you they are great choices for summer.

I've been looking for that perfect Angelina-Jolie-Looks-Like-She's-Not-Wearing-Anything-But-You-Know-She-Is shade for years. Haven't come across one that looked as natural as I wanted. Throw in ""makes teeth look whiter"" and I probably set myself up for failure

I'm not so sure about pink being a universal color. Coral is more universal, I think. And in that case, I can recommend Benefit Coralista. It's soft, and I also like that about a blush.

Lip is a little more tricky...because I'm only using lip palettes, though I do have some perfect shades. But lip is tricky because we each have our own lip color to begin with, which I think pretty much plays into your finished look, unless you mute out your starting color first.

You might try a nude lip pencil -- like Boots No. 7 -- and line & fill in with that, with balm or gloss on top for a your-lips-but-better look.

I am pale and love Lorac "Soul" blush...but I think it would look good on most skin tones. I have to use a very small amount...anyone with a complexion that isn't pale would probably want to use more. It's a neutral shade of blush. I love it.

I won't comment on lip color. I don't have the answers there, other than to avoid warm tones of lip color if your teeth aren't very white. Also, some cool tones can bring out the "grey" in teeth as well, if your teeth are dingy.
