I have.

Do you mean using coconut oil (warmed up to liquid) to swish between your teeth?

My dentist told me it is a good way to keep your gums healthy. He said coconut oil is an antiseptic.

I got orange flavored coconut oil...you can use it for a lot of different things too.

I tried it once using coconut oil I purchased from costco. The swishing in your mouth for 20 minutes is ..... well.... interesting...... lol..... 'cus in addition to the oil, there's saliva keep adding to it. hahaha. It's not a bad experience, though. I've been meaning to do it again once per week, but keep forgetting. )

I have been doing this every morning for the past six months. Dental hygienist was amazed at my last cleaning....said there was minimal plague...and I have had trouble with that for the last few years. I also would get at least one if not two or three bad sinus infections a year. I have had none since I have started doing this on a regular basis. I have been using untoasted sesame oil but I think I will try to the coconut oil next.

I have done oil pulling. It is great for whitening teeth with no risk & has health benefits when using good oils. Done consistently, it will even get rid of built up plaque. Do an internet search on the subject to read all sorts of health benefits.

I prefer using organic sesame oil (not roasted) but have also used virgin coconut oil. Most oils are not good for oil pulling. Do not try this with olive oil.

the swishing in the mouth is also suppose to help pull toxins out of your body. Use organic, non-refined coconut or sesame or safflower oil. I use coconut. It helps whiten teeth (I noticed this right away), it's an antiseptic and helps prevent tooth decay and again suppose to pull toxins from your body.

After the 20 mins, spit it in the trash - do not swallow or spit in sink. Coconut oil will reharden and can mess up your house plumbing. And if it actually pulls toxins out, you don't want to re-swallow them.

I have done it twice so far but then havent done it since. This definitely takes some time and I need to make time for it. I use organic sesame oil unfined as well. It like the taste of it. Definitely read instructions before you get started. With everything stated above, I would just add, when you are done swishing, rinse you mouth out with salt and water or listerine or something and then brush your teeth.

I am going to try and make this a habit and see if there really are any benefits. Just keeping the gums really healthy is enough benefit for me.

I have read somewhere that you should use only coconut oil for this since coconut oil is a natural antibacterial substance. I'm not sure that sesame oil or other oils would have that same impact so I would do some research before using anything other than coconut oil.

I do it, for a few minutes... up to 10, when I'm not feeling well or when my teeth are starting to yellow or I feel any build up on them. It is great for the teeth. Not sure that it's getting rid of the toxins in my body, though. I'm not feeling great today... woke up all congested. I tried pulling, but I'm not breathing well enough through my nose! Only made it a minute or two.

I am very interested in this. I currently rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide but not for 20 minutes. I have tried going on the internet but have not found an answer to my question. Is the coconut oil in a liquid form? I have some at home but it is solid and I use it for cooking - not sure it would work for rinsing. Any info would be helpful. Also, any suggestions as to where to purchase the oil? TIA

I have Trader Joe's Coconut Oil that I plan to use. Any organic coconut oil should do and is probalby found at most grocery stores by now, but if you can't find it there then any health food store, or even somewhere like the Vitamin Shoppe or somehwere like that that has health food & supplements would probably have it.

It is supposed to help whiten, remove plaque and tartar, promote gum health and remove toxins from the body.
