Nailtiques Formula 2 Plus Question.....

I have been using this for over a month and I LOVE this stuff!! I have NEVER had nice nails until this. However, my nails look somewhat yellowish and I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem? If so, is there anything I can do to eliminate this? I DO NOT want to give up my beautiful nails that I now have. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Have a Blessed Day!!

Do you mean they started yellowing with the use on the Nailtiques? Or were they already yellow?

I use the regular Nailtiques 2 and don't have any yellowing. And I've used it off and on for quite a while.

I have been using this for about a year and have no yellowing at all. Sorry you're having an issue.

I use Nailtiques 2 and have NO yellowing but 2 Plus is a different formula.

Hi Peetie, you don't say if you are also wearing colored polish (many dark polish shades can discolor your nails). Nevertheless, you could try using a whitening toothpaste and nail brush (or old toothbrush) when you have removed all polish to do a new manicure.

Thanks ladies for the responses. I just now had a minute to check the site, been busy at the office. I did polish my nails for a few days last week, but, they had already started yellowing before this. Don't believe it was the polish remover, the only time I used it was last week. Normally, all I have to do is peel away the product, no need for remover! turtle52, I will check out the formula you mentioned next time I buy, I just bought a new bottle about 2 weeks ago, and need to finish it up. And shoppingless, my nails only started yellowing with this product. I will try the toothpaste WhatEverLolaWants, and see if that helps.

It is not extremely bad, but, enough that it bothers me. Again, many thanks to each of you for your advice. Have a Great Day!!

Switch back to Nailtiques 2. Nailtiques 2plus is a much stronger formula. I have used Nailtique 2 for years with no yellowing of my nails.

I will pick this up next purchase. I need to finish up my bottle of 2plus that I have had only 2 weeks. Thanks for the advice!

No yellowing here. 2 is good but 2 plus is killer good!!!!!!!!!! I have to cut my nails, they grow so fast and get too long. Awesome problem to have! I'm not complaining!!

I am definitely planning to try this stuff. Do you use it alone or over polish or before polish? I don't care as long as I get results. I used to have the nicest hands and nails on the planet, until I got to be 70. Knuckles are enlarging and my rings will have to be enlarged. No fun getting old. I decided to let my hair go gray for 3 months, I don't think so! Back to blonde. I hope this works for me. I'm so used to long nails, I can't even button a shirt with short nails.

I'm so happy that you have had no problems, and, yes you are soooooo right, this stuff is AWESOME!!!! As I said in my post, I have NEVER had nice nails until I started on this. Just wish I could get past the yellow/dingy look!

Hi Frenchie! I don't believe you can go wrong with the Nailtique formula. I mostly use mine alone. I polished my nails last week and put a coat of this on for my top coat and my polish lasted about 5 days with NO chipping!! I usually do not use polish. I do know on line you can order colored polish in the Nailtique. I do not use credit cards, so, a no go for me. Know what you mean about getting older. I will be 57 this month and I have thought about going gray and then, I come back to my senses! Just not ready to go that route, NOY YET!

I just started using the Nailtiques formula 2 plus two weeks ago. My nails are awful. They chip, peel, and they are so soft and bend. I can not grow them at all and they are so short they hurt. I don't see any growth yet from this but they aren't splitting or peeling. I am hopeful that this works. I bought 2 bottles and I have been using it every day. I have read so many good things about it here, so I am hoping it works for me.

My nails wasn't as short as yours, but, they split, peeled, broke, etc... I believe this will be an Amazing product for you! You will need to give it a little time, but, I think you will be very happy with the results. I am having to trim my nails often because of the growth. I don't like mine very long. I will be very surprised if this doesn't work for you. Here's to GREAT NAILS!!!

I too will be surprised if this doesn't work for me. Actually, I had to file a nail because it felt like it was splitting again. It actually hurts. My nails are so short that they throb. I don't know what to do.

I stopped wearing acrylics over 2 years now and just in the past year I have noticed them in awful condition.
