I think that's one of the problems with IT (and others) is there is not enough range in shades. IT doesn't match me well enough to keep trying it. I've tried the CC Cream as well, and it didn't quite match, besides I didn't like it on because it became a greasy mess by the end of the day.

I've been using BE mineral foundation for years. 56 and light skin. I'm intrigued by the IT Celebration Foundation. Should I switch? What color?

I think that's really a personal preference. I've been using BE for years, and always go back to it no matter what new foundation I try. I've tried IT Celebration Foundation 2 separate times (the original, and the newer version), and was really unimpressed both times. The shade wasn't terrible, but didn't completely match, and I didn't like how it felt on, or how it lasted through the day. To me, BE is MUCH better, but some people really like IT, so you probalby need to try it for yourself.

If you wear Light in BE, being for golden undertones, Light may work in IT, but you might also want to get matched.

I have it, but I like BE better. I guess it's because I have not have good luck in choosing the "correct" color. I use LIGHT in BE original. When I got IT in LIGHT, it's too light. I later ordered a MEDIUM, still color is kind of off and so is the way it feels/looks on my face. {{ shrug }}

Bare Escentuals regular formula loose foundation doesn't work for me. I like their matte formula, but haven't bought it for a while. I now use IT Celebration foundation (regular formula - not more recent glowing formula), among other brands. I currently prefer pressed formulas, but might go back to BE Matte in the future.

As for shades, there have been many threads regarding the confusing naming of IT shades. If you tell us what shade of BE you use, we may be able to tell you what shade of IT likely will work for you.

As I said in my previous post, there has been much confusion over IT shades, but I believe I heard a presentation where Jamie or the host said IT's Medium has more golden undertones, where Light is more pink. I have golden to neutral undertones, so I chose Medium.

I haven't used BE in years only because I need a more moisturizing product now. I have the Celebration, and although it's nice and super easy to use, it emphasizes my lines and wrinkles.

And I agree with others about the color. In BE I wore Fair, and hardly any other line on QVC carries that pale, pink undertone shade. I was going to try BE's compact stuff, but there was such confusion about the shades being so different from the original, I never got around to actually trying it.

A LOT of people love Celebration, so maybe if you can find a color match and/or your skin doesn't have the alarming deep wrinkles mine does, you might like it.

Isn't it aggravating? We ultimately always have to try a product for ourselves, but we want to know that if it works for you, it'll work for me!

I used BE for years but found it starting to show the lines around my eyes. I'm not so impressed with the Celebration foundation. I find that it does not provide very good coverage and looks chalky after a couple of hours. It is also made with silicones, which show off any dry skin.

If you're interested in trying another powder, I love the Tarte powder foundation. It seems to be a bit finer milled than BE and has a very nice finish. Sephora has a wider color range, and you can try before you buy.

I have used Bare Minerlas exclusively for 13 almost 14 years. After they sold their company to Shisheido, I felt that the mineral foundation changed! I use Fairly Medium. Before, I never had the foundation settle in to fine lines or cake up around my nose or nasolabial folds. The last jar I bought felt different to me. It didn't feel as creamy as it had for all the years prior. When I applied it, the same way I have for ALL those years, it settled in to ALL of my fine lines and actually found some I never knew I had! I switched to IT Celebration Foundation about a year ago and I LOVE it! I wear Light/Medium. I only have to use very little of it and it covers beautifully. I have a dark area on my left cheek and above my lip and it covers it completely. I do not have to use a concealer on those areas. I LOVE the feel of it on my skin too. I have pores that to me look like potholes! The Celebration foundation takes those pores away!! The Bare Minerlas USED to but not anymore! I finsh with IT Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro Powder and it gives me a very light, but flawless finish. I am an ER nurse so I do my make up in the morning and NEVER have to touch it up during my shift. ( Not that I would have time to) It looks as good at the end of the day as it did first thing in the morning! I am REALLY glad that I switched from Bare Minerlas because IMO, it's not the same as it once was. With IT, my face looks not only poreless but flawless. I have gotten many compliments on my skin since switching!! Good luck!

I got the Holiday 2013 container of the BareMinerals foundation and to me not only was the color off, but it didn't feel as "creamy" as it used to either. I've used BE for about 10 years and my color has always been Medium Beige and it was a perfect match to my skin. This time it was too light, I had to actually mix it with some Tan that I had for summer to get the color right and the texture was almost sandy. I can't attest to any "formula" switch, but I just know that this purchase was not the same as the others had been over the last 10 years. I don't know if it was the size of the container and they tried to skimp on that or what. It's not terrible and not bad enough to make me want to throw it out, but I think when this is used up I'll go to Sephora and buy a regular sized jar and see if that's any different. I've also been interested in the IT foundation, but like the others here the range of shades is so narrow that I really can't see how you would find a good enough match.
