O/T: HATING WINTER :(

I can't stand it anymore!!! I always always hate winter and this year it is the worst ever!!! I live in Minnesota and the weather here is absolutely ridiculous!! How are the rest of you ladies dealing? My combo skin is flipping out, my hair is bad and I just feel like an overall hot mess. I think it is time for me to think about moving!

I am in New Jersey and it is the worst ever. Not as bad as the north of our country but still awful. Hate, hate winter!!!! Always did. So depressing. I would love to move but family situation is not allowing.

I hate winter also Swimgirl !!!!!

I NEVER liked it & this one is testing all us winter haters LOL

I live in western NY & it has been just about non stop since November, enough already, a foot of snow on the ground & it just keeps snowing an inch or 3 here or there, big fluffy flakes

I hate dressing for this brutal cold, my house is cold inside, not great windows

I would move in a second if hubby's job was not here

my hair & skin are ok....we have a humidifier on the furnace which helps & I got some Creme De La Mar on e-bay & that has helped with the face

No choice but have to deal with it, such a PAIN IN THE A....

I hate winter.I really hate EVERYTHING about it. The only thing that makes it even tolerable is boots...lol. I love hot summer weather.

I don't mind winter. I just hate that four-letter word: S-N-O-W!!! Here in the Chicago suburbs we've gotten over 70 inches so far! I'm tired of shoveling, looking at everything white, and watching out for ice.

I'm doing nicely. December was cold but since the first of January it has been unseasonably warm. Yesterday was 70, should be in high 40's. No moisture since December 21st. Trees and shrubs are leafing out 'way too early. Time to get out and start yard clean-up.

Man I sympathize with you gals stuck in that mess, I am lucky to be south now but All the stuff is fresh in my mind.... like the house never feeling warm enough, the battle with dry air, bad roads, being stuck stranded and house bound, cabin fever , the dreary dark ICK of it all.....I finally said that's it, I'm done,can't stand it any more. ..........I sure hope it lets up soon for you.

I'm in the midwest and yes, this has been some winter. I don't really mind it, it is what it is....winter so you expect it to snow, expect you'll be shoveling or using your blower, expect it to be cold, expect your car to look like c*rap from road salt, expect slushy roads once it begins to warm up. I know nothing else since I've never lived anywhere but in this region. I guess growing up in Chicago has prepared me. I will say, though, we were kind of due for this, we haven't had a super bad winter in many years. So you do what you need to do....make sure you have enough food in the house, bundle up when you go outside, make sure your gas tank is always full, give yourself plenty of extra travel time if you need to go out in it, and don't follow too closely behind the car in front of you. We're under another winter weather advisory today, another 6" of new snow is expected.

I live on Long Island and I am just about at the end of my rope.

Sure, I live on the East Coast -- I know snow is pretty much guaranteed in the winter, but this is RIDICULOUS! It has come to the point where one has to strategically plan their move before stepping foot outside of the house... Where is a good place to walk? Is that black ice or a water puddle? Where can I park my car? If I park by this 25 foot snow bank will another car see me or crash into me? Which car is going to pull over to let the other pass on this residential street? Will spring ever come???????????????? Ahhhhhh!!!!!

Seriously -- It's getting downright depressing. I am 7 months pregnant and pretty much afraid to leave my house. Yes, I travel each day to work and back, but it's becoming difficult to get my normal errands done without having my husband with me. It's too dangerous out there!! I'm not liking this feeling at all...

In terms of beauty - I'm okay. My nails are a bit drier than normal, but my skin and hair are good. My biggest dilemma is feeling trapped by all of this snow. More on the way for Long Island tonight... Ughhhhh

Hi Grade1- I'm thinking of you and remembering the year my son was born at the end of March. It was also a horrible winter, and I thought it would never be over. Somehow all the hibernating that year blessed me with the Best Baby Ever. My hopes that your new BOJ will be exactly that. WARM thoughts heading your way from frigid NJ!

I also live in NJ. This has been the worst winter in a long, long time. I cannot deal with all this snow any more. I am ready to scream. There are mounds of snow were ever I look. On street parking is virtually impossible. We have a long driveway which leads to our garage in the back of the house. Clearing the driveway is a nightmare...... and the space is getting narrower and narrower with each snowfall. We have reached the point where we don't know where to put all the snow any more. The forecast is calling for more snow tonight into tomorrow. They say we should only get a about 2 -3 inches... but that's 2 - 3 inches too many!! It is supposed to warm up into the 40's later on in the week... which probably means we will have flooding when all this snow starts to melt. Spring just can't get here fast enough.

another NJ'er here, I am actually going to the gym today, I hate the cold as I get older and staying home is better and better. but that gets depressing, February is usually warmer than this.

I am so there with you!!! This weather will just not let up. It just goes on and on and on. I can't even remember a winter in years and year and years where the snow and cold were just relentless. It is so draining both physically and mentally.

I feel like we living the movie - Groundhog Day --- we get up each morning --- and we are reliving the same day --- over and over again!!! Only --- it's really not funny --- at all!!!! Grrrrrr!!!!

I keep trying to tell myself that a long, cold, snowy winter pays off later in the year with less pests problems (mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects). But otherwise--stinks.

I live right next door to Minnesota. The weather is FINALLY warming up but, now we're under a winter storm warning! That darn wind can STOP any time soon. I'm worried that this Spring we will have flooding due to the huge amounts of snowfall we've had. I am tired of shovelling the sidewalks. Even our dog struggles in the snow!

This is not my favorite season anyway, and after this winter, even what little I liked about winter will be at an all-time low!

Just look at the calendar! Everything is cyclical! One of these nice days the temps will moderate and the crocuses will pop out!

I try to maintain a normal routine of daily walking, and I do it in the cold & snow in order to get the exercise endorphines. Getting my college classes back to normal is more challenging.

Here in South Florida, it is gorgeous! Clear blue skies and temps in the low 70's! Maybe it is time for a vacation from the frigid temps!

I can't imagine dealing with non-stop cold and snow and ice.
