Any other Lip Balm Junkies out there?

Hello, my name is Gina and I'm a lip balm junkie. I cannot be without something on my lips, and I'm really picky on what it is! I'm distraught when they change or stop selling my favorite lip balm, and my lips really suffer over it.

My current favorite is the older version of Vanilla Carmex. They recently changed it to an "Improved" version (says Improved in purple on the cardboard package), but it's much thinner, which makes it less soothing and not last nearly as longm and it's less vanilla. I'm panicing because they changed it, I really loved the original Vanilla Carmex! I've been using EOS lately which is working pretty well to tide me over, but I'm really sad that they changed my beloved lip balm. This also happened to Burt's Bees Honey lip balm, it used to be so good, but now it's more perfumy IMO and I cannot stand it anymore.

Anyone else out there a total lip balm junkie? I mean, can't live without something on your lips, needing a particular lip balm - junkie? I'd love to hear that I'm not the only one!

And I'd love to hear what everyone's favorite lip balm or lip product is whether or not you are a junkie, because like everything else I still love to try new products.

I am too. My lips are never without something on them - day and night. My current favorite is one made by Carol's Daughter in the pot. Feels so good on the lips.

Oh boy, I hear ya! I get a little panicked if I'm not within arm's length of lip balm, gloss, lipstick -- something! There's always one (or 8!) in my purse, my desk drawer, my robe pocket. Funny thing is I always used one by Avon and a few other odd brands and then my husband let me use his Carmex one day and I was hooked!

Fellow addict. I'm not loyal to any one brand though, I like to try everything. Plus my faves change all the time. I did have an extended love affair with Jack Black lip balm, but am currently liking Vaseline Lip Therapy in the mini vaseline jar. Want to try the Rosy Lips version. Also like Skinn's Lip 6x.

I have to admit to loving the hardcore stuff. It started at a young age with a love of Noxzema and blossomed. I have a passion for anything that tingles, with menthol, peppermint listed as the top ingredients. So, Carmex was my all time fav. But, lo and behold, I discovered Ultra Mentha from Bath & Body Works. Well, I can't be without the stuff. I try to taper off and alternate with Dr. Burt's mango and Bigelow's Rose Lip Salve. I shouldn't even mention the Mac lip glosses in my cosmetic bags. At all time, my lips have to have some type of emollient or they feel naked and uncomfortable.

While I wear lipstick some of the time, I never wear lip gloss ....... to me it usually looks like a gal ate a plate of greasy chicken and forgot to wipe her mouth! (Too messy and comes off on everything. No staying power at all.)

I love the clear lip balms by Blistex but for ages have been looking for a balm with more than just a smidge of color. .......... Well, I just found something new that is color saturated and was so excited I bought 4 different colors! It's Rimmel's Lasting Finish Colour Rush ..... shaped like a thick Crayola crayon .... and were selling at Walmart for just $4.97. Nice subtle scent and the color is based on how heavily you apply it. I think they are great!

I like jack black too. Right now I am using desert essence and aveeno. I have them all over the place. I cannot be without lip balm.

Oh santorini I saw Carol's Daughter lip balm and was really curious but haven't tried it yet!

I totally panic if I don't have a lip balm within arms reach! I keep one next to me in the living room, bathroom drawer, multiple in my purse in case I lose one, multiple in my desk drawer at work, and of course I make sure I have one within reach when I go to sleep (along with water.)

I too like the tingle (such as my beloved carmex), but I also like the EOS lip balms that don't tingle because they are slightly sweet without wanting to eat the lip balm. The EOS sweet mint does have a slight tingle without being too pepperminty, I don't like if the peppermint is overpowering (like burt's bees - I used to like that one but I hate that I taste it when I'm drinking coffee or anything else).

Aveeno used to be one of my obsessions!

Vaseline for me is too thin and doesn't last long enough. That's the problem with the new "Improved" Vanilla Carmex, it's too thin and wears away way too fast . I guess they changed it because the FDA requires that 4 sunscreens be used, and the older formula didn't have 4.

I like Blistex original (in the blue/green tube), but I haven't really liked any of the other formulas they have.

I'm glad I'm not alone! I sometimes feel self conscience applying it all the time, but I have to...

Hi. I'm Sidsmom and I'm a LIP SMACKER freak!! =:0. I used Lip Smackers waaaay back in High School when there were dinosaurs roaming the Earth. I've TRIED using something other from time to time, but there's nothing better than the Lip Smacker Biggie in Dr. Pepper. Just enough color, the formulation isn't too 'slick', they don't dry out the lips & they're dirt cheap. I always have a bag full of favors hanging around...first then I put on in the AM & last thing in the PM!

Yes, I always have to have something on my lips. At home I have Burts Bees lip balm in almost every room. I have a Maybelline Baby Lips in my purse and tons of lipsticks/glosses.

I do like the Fresh Sugar lip balms, and used to LOVE Lip Smackers - I may have to try them out again. I do like Maybelline Baby Lips too!

I'm curious about Jack Black and checked it out on Ebay. It seems to be available in a squeeze tube. Does it come as a solid roll-on, like Chapstick?

I think it's only available it the squeeze tube, which is a turn off for me because that usually makes them more thin in my experience.

I buy them in multiples. My favorite for years is the Whole Foods ones. I have them stashed all over the house, by the bed, next to the couch, on my desk and have one is each of my purses.

I'm really picky though, no menthol, no mint, no eucalyptus. I won't use Burts Bees because of the mint. I check the label before I buy any lip balm.

Yes, I have them everywhere. In the bedroom, the bathroom, the living room, in each car, if I'm there, a lip balm will be close.
