Anyone Else Watch The Bachelor Wedding?

It's my guilty pleasure since the series started so I had to watch the wedding, it was my 29th wedding anniversary as well! Catherine is an absolutely beautiful girl and looked stunning as a bride. I think she and Sean make a great couple. The floral arrangements were to die for, gorgeous roses in pale pinks and pale purples flowing down the sides of the tables. Wow! My son works as a Production Assistant in LA and just spent several days working on the upcoming Bachelorette herding the possible new bachelors around for interviews. He said they were all pretty nice guys, no one stood out as a total jerk, but he was surprised that a few were pretty short! The majority of them were there for a fun few weeks and the travel to exotic places more than actually expecting to find a wife.

I did- it was lovely! I really enjoyed the flowers (pink roses are my fave) and everyone in the wedding looked beautiful! I loved Cahterine's dress- she really was a gorgeous bride! They seem like they will be very happy together. Blessings to them both!

How fun that your son works on the show- you get an "insider's" view!

As a member of the 1960's free love generation, don't get the connection. It's a fun escape as all reality shows are. I guess you could say ewww about reality tv in general but it has certainly become poular. I think we all know this is not how people normally find their mates.

Well Happy Anniversary first of all! How exciting for your son to be involved in a Hollywood production. You must be very proud. I dvr'd the show and have not watched it yet.

I didn't think it was religious at all. No Bible verses, they wrote their own vows, etc.

Yes. I watched it. I don't watch every Bachelor/Bachelorette series but I did watch the Sean/Catherine one so I was interested. I kept flipping back & forth b/t that and the Grammies.

I watched it and thought it was beautiful. Catherine was a stunning bride. I also thought it refreshing to find a television wedding that was more than the typical vows and that the bride and groom felt free to include spirituality in their wedding. The fact that his dad, a minister, married them was so nice. I wish them all the best!

I thought it was lovely. His father seems like a very kind and genuine man--as does his mother--she was delightful.

I do think Sean is a bit odd, but they seem well matched. She's quirky too--very cute girl.

I disagree. No communion, bible verses, hymns, visit to the virgeen Mary or other religious traditions. I thought it was lovely and tasteful. Not how I'd want to get married, on tv to be ridiculed and commercialized, but to each their own.

Though I thought at first that I might watch it, I just couldn't stomach all of the innuendo about the "wedding night - giggle, giggle, tee-hee." It was SO immature. I can't imagine two people who are immature enough to tell TV cameras about their private life being mature enough to keep a marriage going. Yeah, they "waited" but advertising it constantly negates the honor of it, imo.

guatmum, I got sick of hearing about the wedding night, too. Ridiculous. But I seriously doubt that was Catherine and Sean's doing...I'm sure the show was trying to milk that for everything it could. The first hour and a half was a total waste of time. They could've covered all of that in 30 minutes at best. We only needed to hear about how goofy they are, how fun they are, how excited they are for the wedding night, how in love they are, one time...not over and over and over again.
