Does poor 'ol Ole Henriksen ever get his own hour show?

I learned via eMail from OH that he was going to be on QVC this morning (and someone posted it here)

I just checked out Leah's show and there's ONE OH item!

I'd never heard of him before seeing his name mentioned on these boards, and have checked out his website and reviews here, but have yet to try any of his products.

Why doesn't QVC give him a fighting chance? He seems to have a good following. Too bad. :-(

I was hoping to see a presentation of the Truth Serum and/or the foaming cleanser. Sigh.

Yes, I agree, he should have his own 1 hour shows! His products are excellent.

I've only seen Ole on one hour shows when Amy was doing those series of shows for a period where she would go to LA. I'm sure Ole has had one hour shows other than that, but very infrequently. His products are so so good.

I'm on the fence whether his Truth or African Red Tea products are my favorites, but there's no doubt his Ultimate Firming Eye Gel is my favorite product in his line. His products are as good (I think better) than his competitors in the esthetician/M.D. category (Kate Sommerville, Bliss Spa, Dr. Perricone, Dr. Brandt, Dr. Gross for example) yet his prices are very reasonable for prestige skincare.

Anyone who is in LA or planning a visit to the area should set aside a few hours for pampering at Ole's spa. It's quite an experience!

Ole was on a couple of weeks ago in the same time slot. All he presented was a neck cream. Love his products and he is a doll. His products are high rated but I guess they don't sell a lot. I started using his products when he was on HSN and they had some great bargains. As we know, QVC doesn't do that...so sad.

The other issue is, don't these vendors have to PAY for the time they're on TV?

Ole has his own website. Sells his stuff everywhere including Sephora, ULTA etc.

Frankly, it may not be a cost-effective use of his capital to invest in a 1 hr. show w/ QVC.

People buy his products whether he's on Q or not. Now, WEN might be a different situation. Or ... say, Invicta watches on ShopNBC.

I don't think Ole has to be on TV. He already has a following without TV publicity.

No, vendors do not pay for their time slots. They negotiate with QVC over what they will buy the products for and the air time is to increase sales which benefits both. The problem with air-time versus no-air-time is exposure. It's a catch 22 , imo because if QVC doesn't increase his air-time and visibility then sales could remain sluggish ........... if they start giving him more visibility then that will increase sales and that in turn increases air time. It's a vicious cycle.

If QVC hadn't given Bare Essentials the exposure they did, BE would never have achieved the success they've experienced. The more they aired them the more they sold.

Ole may sell at other retail stores but nothing can compare to what an hour on air can do for a brand. On any given day, at a local retail store, maybe 10 or 20 (or even 30) products from his line will be purchased. In one hour on air, it could be 100's or even 1000's. And any vendor is going to be willing to make more money. QVC has been a great bonus for Kate S and I just wish they would give Ole the same opportunity.

Exposure = sales = more exposure = more sales. The sales can't increase significantly without the airtime and exposure. If Ole has had a 1 hour show, my bet would be that it was in the overnight or early AM hours when visibility is somewhat limited compared to daytime or prime time.

We just need to start deluging QVC w/requests for More Ole! If they think there's possibly a demand, they'll want to capitalize on it. I'll start. :-)

I'll email them too making some request ........... I really like the products of his that I have tried. He's got some real ethics too as I tend to trust what he says. His 3 step peel is the best peel I have ever used on my face, bar none~

I just did, and requested a response -- we'll see. Others have spoken positively about his peel, too.
