For me Josie Maran Argan oil isn't too greasy at all, I usually use 4 - 5 drops on my face. It can get greasy on my hair though if I use more than a drop or 2 at a time.

Anyone else not seeing any results using Argan Milk? I don't notice any difference using it under argan oil. I basically feel like I'm putting on a double layer of argan oil, but am not any more moisturized nor do I see any improvement in my skin using it. Am I the only one not seeing any difference using Argan Milk?

I have combination skin, dryer in the winter but still a tad oily in the t-zone.

well, basically you ARE just putting argan oil on top of argan oil, lol! Not much else is in the ingredients except some glycerin. I think most people who like it tend to have oilier skin or who don't really like using argan oil in its traditional form (too greasy, doesn't sink in well, etc- those types of issues). I have not tried it but will try it instead of traditional argan oil rather than in addition to. My plan is to use the argan milk then over that add another oil cocktail I usually use (like a combination of two of the following rosehip seed oil/marula/baobab/yangu).

I am having really good results with it so far.

My skin is very, very dry. The oil was helping, but I still had some visible dryness. The milk seemed to add just a bit more. The dryness is gone. I put it on at night under the oil.

The explanation given in the presentation was the "milk" which is water and argan oil would add moisture(water) to your skin, then put argan oil over it. Why nut just use water as the first step?

Why nut just use water as the first step?

I had a similar thought, why not just mix the water and oil together yourself and then apply? I tried mixing argan oil and water in my hand, real fast, and it doesn't work. If I remember correctly, the manufacturing process pulverizes the oil to break it into smaller particles that mix together in a way where they won't separate and will penetrate to deeper levels of one's skin. Truth be told, I already use a few drops of argan oil (or argan mixed with a little RHSO) as my PM moisturizer. It's working fine, but I was intrigued by the argan milk for the creamier, lotion type delivery. If I were to use that, that would be it, I wouldn't put more argan oil on top of it. I'm still kind of tempted, but if there are no real appreciable results, that makes it a pretty costly little product. I'm still thinking.

You just are paying for the water, added to argan oil, to give it a different consistency.
Don't know if that can really make it penetrate any deeper than any product would anyway. I mean the best creams, serums, etc. can only go so deep, regardless of maker, ingredients, etc.

Delivery is how they all promise they are different or better than the next one, but we only have the three layers of skin to work with.

I think what comes from the inside via food , drink, and genetics does much more than all of the products in the world, and we should all relax a little and save some money on all of these hyped products. Prices are getting ridiculous on some of these things, and I just wonder if they can do what they say they can.

Perhaps a fair-priced product can do as much as the next after all. I'm hoping so !!!!

I think it would be too early to see results if one has only used this product for a week or two. I do not like the regular Argan oil as it never sinks in. It sits on my skin all night. I use it, though, over Retin A. Maracuja oil sinks in a bit better, but it too sits on my skin.

I tried the Josie Maran Argan Light, and it doesn't sink in either. At least the Argan milk appeared to sink in when I tested it at Sephora.

Does anyone else have problems with Argan oil or Maracuja oil never sinking in? What in the heck is that all about??? TIA Win

What in the heck is that all about??? TIA Win

It's about a large molecular structure. The best these topical oils can do for you is cushion your skin against the harsh elements and protect your skin from further moisture loss. I'm not so sure about the argan being minutely pulverized in order to sink down further into the top layer. The water, yes. Or another type of humectant.

I've always believed that if you are using an oil, you also need some type of humectant or hydrator. In my case, I will continue to use aloe.

Any oil is much like vaseline or mineral oil in that it does only sit on top of the skin, keeping in your own moisture. I heartily agree with Remee that your diet needs to be sufficient in order for your skin (on the outside) to perform optimally.

Then again, I'm not sure of what expectations the OP has with this product. When you see those "results" in the befores & afters, you have no idea of how those tests were conducted, and what the participants did in order to achieve certain outcomes.

Win, the only other thing I can think of is the different consistencies of the different types of oils: nut oils v. fruit oils v. plant oils. They all act differently, and that probably has to do with the nature of the EFAs that each contains.

I just used it yesterday in the daytime and also at night. Didn't find it hydrating at all. In fact, I thought it was kind of sticky and after it dried up on my skin, I looked shriveled up. And I did use it with the JM Argan Oil but I just ended up waking up with shriveled skin with huge pores. I'm returning it immediately. I do have very dry skin so that's probably why it doesn't work on me like it does on other people.
