Exfoliator recommendations needed

I love Kate Somerville's Exfollicate but it is too pricey. The drug store brands I have tried are too gentle and do not get rid of my peeling skin on my nose and cheeks. Any recommendations that are not too expensive? Thanks

You must try Dermapeel from Skinn cosmetics on ShopHQ. You will look younger immediately, your face will be glowing and your skin will feel as soft as a baby's bottom!! It is the best I've ever used and Dimitri is so informative and his prices are great.

These days I'm using Fleur de Lis Rice & Papaya Enzyme Powder (dupe for Tatcha) every morning. Before I started my new routine, I would exfoliate weekly with Cure Aqua Gel Exfoliator. I liked that one a lot and would definitely go back to it if I ever discontinued using the enzyme powder. Both products are available on Amazon.

I love Clinique's Exfoliator. Not to be confused with their 7 day scrub. I have oily skin and use their Exfoliator several times a week. Not sure what yours costs but Clinique's is $18 a tube. I love it and haven't found any other I like.

I used to LOVE Dermapeel, but the last time I ordered, it was just an oily mess. I'm assuming Dimitri changed the formula. I even tried ordering again, thinking maybe I got a bad one, but sadly, it too was a greasy mess. As much as I HATE paying the price for Exfolikate, it's the best I've found. And since you only need a very little, it really does last a very long time, so in the long run, it probably is about the same price as others. In fact I just placed an order yesterday on Sephora's website for the 2 oz Exfolikate that comes with the 0.5 oz travel size for the same price as the 2 oz alone and I'll save the travel size for my vacation.

Philosophy's Micro-delivery Wash works wonders and it's gentle enough for many to use daily. Other exfoliators I like a lot are Philosophy's Oxygen Peel; Ole Henriksen's Lemon Strip Flash Peel, Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial.

ExfoliKate is the best but I understand about the price. My #2 pick would be Philosophy's Vitamin C Microdelivery Peel. Oil of Olay has a dupe for it for less than $25.

I use Mario Badescu's glycolic toner. Its an excellent exfoliator, gentle and non drying, especially in this harsh cold weather! The price is great and it lasts a long time. They also send three samples with an order! I love it!

I used to use scrubs and peels, and things that had shells and beads. Then I tried some of Paula Begouns's AHA and BHA products. You can use the liquids, gels or lotions.

But you know what I've been using lately? I've gone retro and I picked up a 2-pack of "Brand X" Buf-Pufs at the drugstore. One for my face and one for my body when I shower.

I also try to remove my makeup before cleansing with a baby wipe. This seems to provide a little extra exfoliation, too. My skin can be sensitive, but I haven't had a problem with the Pufs.

ETA:

I was a fan of philosophy's peel, but I tried Olay's dupe after a recommendation here. The Olay peel is much more affordable and it works.

I finally gave up my auto-delivery of Kate's product. I have since found Aveeno Resurfacing Scrub and it is fantastic! My skin has never felt more polished.

Peter Thomas Roth's Firm X peeling gel. It will make short work of any dead flakes on your face.

Ditto -- as a matter of fact Skinn's Dermappeal reminded me of this. Same consistency -- even the same menthol scent, although Dermappeal's is much stronger.

Some people find it too harsh, though. Definitely not for sensitive skin.

I also use on a daily basis Alpha Hydrox Souffle, my skin feels like a rose petal.
