What other formulas have you tried, and how did they leave your hair?

How long is your hair and how many pumps do you use per cleanse?

Do you do 2 cleanses (rinse & repeat), add lots of splashes of water to get the Wen really frothy as you massage it in, and rinse enough?

Sorry for all the questions, but the better we get to know you the more we'll be able to help!

When I use the pumpkin Wen, I use very little. My hair doesn't feel greasy but it does make the color of my hair look more red. It seems to give me more body but since I'm trying to avoid a reddish color, I use it only once in a while.

Usually this means your not using enough. How long, thick is your hair? And how many pumps are you using?

The usual 3 culprits are:

Not using enough

Not leaving it on long enough

Not rinsing enough

It took several cleanses for me to get things right for my own hair. My hair is extremely thick and coarse, so I need a little more than the recommended amount for my length. I also needed to rinse longer than I was. I thought I was rinsing adequately, but once I actually DID rinse enough, I could tell the difference.

I have been using WEN on and off for several years. I can't use Pumpkin either. It weighs down my hair and makes it dirty. Not all formulations are right for everyone.

You are probably not using enough. Or maybe it is just not for you. I can only use the seasonals. The regular items leave my hair this way, too.

Try this (if you want): use LOTS of water and get your hair really wet. Add lots of WEN--- if using smaller bottle, twelve pumps----larger, about five--- work in addimg more water for froth---work in---add water---work in again....leave in while you shower.... then about two minutes later, rinse rinse rinse rinse. Then rinse again. If you have hand held shower head, use that. Need good water pressure.

I never clease twice. when out of shower, while hair is wet, I use one pump of styling cream on the ends and comb through with wide tooth comb.

Surprisingly, I don't have to was my hair every day any more, so I don't mind using that much product.

Good luck!

I find that the Pumpkin is oilier than the other varieties, but I like that for my super dry hair. The spring gardenia, on the other hand, is not nearly hydrating enough.

It's important to remember that the different formulations aren't just different scents, they do different things. Pumpkin may just not be the right kind for you. For me, I find that the summer variety is close to the sweet almond mint formulation, in terms of its effect on my hair. Spring is always too light. Winter tends to be the most moisturizing and makes my hair awesome. I don't bother trying cucumber because it's for fine hair, so even if I liked the scent, I wouldn't expect to get the desired benefits. It's tempting to just use what smells good, especially with things going on sale, but I'm learning to stick with what works.

Don't even give this person a reason to continue with their negativity. Posts like this is why I stopped visiting the forums on a regular basis. Some people just seem to need negativity. Not for me. I still don't understand why people must criticize others. I used to feed into it but made a pact with myself a while ago. I try to keep positive about everything or at least find a bright side. Sometimes it's pretty hard. But arguing with strangers over a Health and beauty product (which I happen to adore) is simply nuts! I am a self defense instructor and am very familiar with the on-line bullying mentality. I see it often here. At one point I even was baited then I began arguing. NO MORE! One thing I now know is to never even address it. When the posts get mean I simply log out. If we all simply did not respond to these negative posts they would surely stop. No one likes to argue with themselves. These people are usually very unhappy, jealous, negative and needy. Makes me sad.

Kempokim, I get what you are saying overall, but I don't see the negativity or anything argumentative in her post. Like I said, I haven't seen her previous posts.

Is it hit or miss to find one that truly benefits your hair? Have you found one with the moisture qualities of Wen Fig?
