Maybe tonight - maybe not! I usually jump right in but am still hesitating. I have the Lotus Roller .05 and am still a bit confused about how often to use it. Is it every 2 weeks, Bella? I thought this one could be used more often? Any advice from a veteran and that would be you Bella might get me moving!

The research I've done has led me to the conclusion that, for me, I will only use a .5 1x/ month. I've used the .25 a few times as it is considered cosmetic rolling and greatly increases product absorption. .5 results in increased collagen production but it takes about 30 days for the process and for the area to heal. Anymore could lead to inflammation which will give you the opposite result. I'm watering down the medical rhetoric I've read. Very tedious stuff. I had a particularly nice result after .25 followed by NCN C serum and RHSO. Skin glowed the next morning and the texture was very smooth. HTH

Does a week make a veteran? I've done the .5 only once and won't again until 2/6. I've done the .25 a few times on various areas, top of hands, chest, neck, face. I think it is a little too soon to speak to any serious results but it has already improved skin texture in my face. Also, it's not as big of a deal as I had imagined it would be. Now, the new products I've purchased to use with skin needling I am loving!

I was looking for all organic or at least no to limited synthetic. I wanted green tea extract and/or other antioxidants, 1st generation copper peptides which NCN's copper has, and C serum which again I already had a great one in NCN, and vitamin A. I didn't want silicones, parabens, fragrances, etc. When applying after rolling you need to remember this stuff can get into your system much moreso than on unbroken skin.

I decided upon 100 percent pure's green tea/jasmine toner which I use immediately before and after rolling. 100 percent pure's Vitamin A & CoQ10 wrinkle smoothing night cream, NCN's copper, and NCN's C. I was planning to get NCN's VoluLift (which I still want) but last night came across a killer deal on a Michael Todd product through Truth in Aging's site. Link. $150 cream on sale for $69 + and extra 20% off with MYSKIN20. I recently got a deal through Groupon on an eye serum of his that I am really liking so thought I'd try this killer deal, too. However, this can not be used immediately after rolling due to the inclusion of glycolic, mandolic, and tartaric acids.

Your skin will feel very dry after rolling. You are breaking the moisture barrier. RHSO seems to really help with this for me.

ETA - Here is another that is on my list: Link

I've rolled 5 times over about a 3 week period with a 1.0. Based on what I've learned from Dr. Setterfield (through BellaCarro and Lyn in MI) I'm waiting a month until my next roll, and am awaiting arrival of the 0.5 size which he shows is BETTER at inducing collagen than the other sizes.

I noticed my skin looked plumper and had a nice glow to it, BUT I suspected it just might be the swelling (edema) and reaction to the needles. This was verified by Dr. Setterfield, so that's why I'm waiting a month until my next treatment (hopefully with the 0.5).

There have been lots of rave reviews all over the board -- daily, 3 x week, different length rollers. But, again, I've become convinced that's just the REACTION to the treatment, not the ultimate RESULT we are trying to achieve -- actual collagen production.

It's not as scary as we think it's going to be, and my mind went overboard fantasizing what COULD go wrong, but everything was fine. :-)

I'm with BellaCarro and Lyn regarding the purest, most natural, nourishing ingredients.

And I haven't yet, but I'm going to order a 0.2 or 0.3 to use a few times a week for product absorption (again, a Dr. Setterfield recommendation) so all those good products can do even more good.

On 1/18/2014 BellaCarro said:
On 1/18/2014 beaches21 said:If you don't mind sharing I would be interested hearing what new skincare you purchased to go with the dermarollong.

Beaches, happy to share but what is more important than the brand is what is and what isn't in the product.

Thanks Bellocarro, I appreciate all of your information. I am new to NCN products but the Vito is on my list of must haves. I purchased a 1.5mm Dermaroller and used it the first time about three weeks ago. Last night I decided to use it again and I cannot believe how my facial skin feels today, it feels lifted and firm, I plan on purchasing either a .3 or .5 within the week. I'm really liking the way my skin is feeling, hope it works this well on my neck. Thanks again and will keep you posted.

BellaCarro - It appears to be a newer product (launched in 2013) I'm wondering if Marta just has an inaccurate deck posted.

OOPS, forgot to say you're welcome.

I'm a veteran. In fact, I think I started this thread over a year ago and got no responses. Now, it seems everyone is on the bandwagon. It's so easy to do and results are visible. It costs so little compared to any skincare system. I use mine at least 2x weekly. I use a serum first, then roll, then finish with a nightly moisturizer. I'm 71 1/2 and I'm hoping for slowing down the aging process. So far, it's worked for me. The wrinkles and not so fine lines are not an issue with me anymore. I know I'm doing all that I can and I can see that my skin has improved. It's certainly brighter and looks pretty good. And I'm not spending a ton of $$$.

I just bought a dermaroller 0.5 but haven't used it yet. I'm thinking of using a copper peptide serum after rolling to help with firmness and healing.
