O/T Is There A Way To Find Something Posted Here A Few Years Back?

A friend of mine showed me something I'd given her (I printed out some of your responses). I asked you ladies what would be a good beauty routine for her. She always commented that I didn't have wrinkles and I know what I used but Dr. Denese can be expensive.

I think I asked for some of the products some you you ladies use that work just as well as Dr. D's and even better. Is there a way to see these old posts?

You can go through your history. If you know approximately when it was posted, it will make it tons easier.

lulu2 Thanks for responding. I tried that. It was a few years back. I've had good luck in the past looking things up here; but it helps if I know one of the phrases. She keeps saying that someone said, "If she's that bad off".

I'm not a mean person and I would not have given her that to be mean. I keep thinking there must be more to it than that. I remember that I printed it out so she could order some of the products mentioned if she wanted to.

It's just driving me crazy because on the surface it sounds like I was being mean to her. I eat dinner with her often and like her, so I know I wasn't being mean.

I don't know why it's so important to me, I guess I don't like thinking I was mean. I don't see how.

Try not to let it bother you. I once commented to my best friend when she got spell check on her email program. This was a long time ago, now everyone has it. Anyway, she thought I was criticizing her spelling and really got testy about it. The search function on this board just doesn't work, so good luck.

depglass thank you for your kind words. Dazlin, yes I tried some of the phrases and it didn't come up.

It was at least 3 or 4 years ago! She said that someone here commented "if she's that bad .....". I tried variations of that and nothing came up. She doesn't have a lot of wrinkles, so I wouldn't have said something bad like that. It's driving me crazy because she keeps bringing it up; as if I was posting something mean about her.

I think if I make any changes in my life this year I must learn to not worry so much about what others think about me. I don't care about most things, but it bothers me for someone to think I'm an inconsiderate person and would be mean (to someone I like, especially).

The phrase, "not everyone is going to like you....get over yourself" keeps coming to mind.

I am just going to have to 'let it go' and stop trying to find it.

Again, thank you ladies for your ideas. It is very much appreciated.

Several times people on here have complained that I will post something and then not come back to comment, etc.

When I click on this site I click "View All Categories". That way I am able to see a cross section of everyone's interests.

I think that might be why the subject matter on the screen changes so quickly (in other words something might be on the screen and then within as little as 5 minutes, it's moved on).

This makes it difficult to leave the computer, go do something, and then come back to see your post (difficult to find).

I'm not complaining. It's good that it moves quickly, makes it interesting. I'm just not good about being able to find a post.

Most people don't sit here for long periods of time (I would think).

I have found one way to check back when I ask you ladies for an answer to my question. I downsize the screen with my question on it and then when I come back to the computer I am able to click back on it and it comes back up on the screen (Phew! Talk about a 'run-on sentence'. Then I click 'refresh' and the new comments on that subject comes up.

That is about the limit of my computer knowledge. As a real genuine Baby Boomer (67) I am proud of myself for learning the little bit I have about computers, etc. I envision myself as someone who is at the end of the line, one leg dragging, yelling, "I'm coming! I'm coming!"

I always have to thank you ladies for the patience and help you've always given me. I know some of my questions must seem 'simple' you many of you. Yet, you consider the source (so to speak) and help me out.

I just clicked on the ""My Activity"" button at the top of the page and mine went back over 4 years and 111 pages. You could try that and just scroll through them to see if you can find what you're looking for. Maybe go from oldest to newest if you aren't sure exactly when it was.

Go to Beautypedia.com to see Paula Begoun's recommedations for dept/drug store brands. I love her products and have been using them for over 15 years.
