What is with the TSV's??-------OT

I just had to comment on this. Today's TSV with shipping is $57.95 without tax. This price is a TSV? Seriously? I was always under the impression that a TSV is a "SPECIAL VALUE." I really have not seen too many TRUE TSV's lately. Have you?

I agree! I'm done with high S&H. Today's Special on ShopHQ has 0 S&H and is Juice products. If I were interested but I""M not because of Acure I would buy!

I agree -- Many of their TSVs have been very high-priced. They aren't unaffordable, but they just don't seem like a great deal. Once you add tax, shipping, and handling, you can be adding another $15 onto the original price.

It's also important to note that once the "special" TSV pricing is over, the new price only goes up a couple of dollars. Ultimately it doesn't matter whether you get it on the TSV day, or any other day. There is no real deal in my opinion...

They are much more costly than years ago, and not just due to inflation. The only time they are truly a good deal, is if you are going to use everything in the kit (or mostly everything and can find a user for the balance) and purchase on A-D, where shipments 2 and on have no S&H.

And really, EP should be pretty much mandatory with a TSV though many of them are offered without it, and free or at least reduced shipping should be the norm too. If you want to make it 'special' Q, then really make it special... Honestly, this place will never change.

I think they like to compare the TSVs to the retail price which is sometimes like $200, but a TSV price is $60. So in that aspect, yes it's a good value. But if you check tomorrow's price on a TSV, QVC only shaves a mere $5 bucks off the price and maybe you'll miss out on easy pay if they are offering that. Although they often bring back a crummy TSV a week later and give it extra easy pays to sweeten the deal cause they have way too many in stock cause it was a bomb.

I cannot believe that Mally TSV, which should have been priced at most at $39.95 (as an introductory kit), was priced at $60.00. It apparently tanked, because buyers didn't think it was worth that much money. Yes, I can buy one eyeshadow quad for $85 on the outside, but I am not shopping at Saks or Bergdorf's - I am shopping at QVC. The beauty TSVs have to be a better deal, or I know I won't be buying, as I didn't buy yesterday.

Mally's last TSV was an awesome value because I priced everything out. This TSV, not so much.

IMO every TSV should have free s/h and should be more of a discounted price than about 15% off. That's not a good deal to me.

IMO there are so many reasons this TSV was a fail. Her last two were such great values and I think many bought those instead. The Easy on the Eyes came with 11 eyeshadows and the holiday set came with 9. Who is going to get excited about ONE eyeshadow? And both TSV came with taupes. The E on the E came with 3 eyeliners and a mascara. The holiday set came with those shadows that can be liners and also 3 mascaras I believe and 3 lippies so the only real draw of this kit was this new primer nobody has tried. Since were only saving a few bucks I would rather wait and read the reviews but I wouldn't buy this kit anyway. Am I really saving any money at all buying a kit with all this stuff I don't need?

Also it's after Christmas and I know I have tightened my reins. I shop much more freely around Christmas so it really had to be a great deal and it just wasn't .

I hope it was a colossal bomb so the next one will be a rockin deal! I'd like to see one of her perfect palettes with a travel face defender as a TSV.

Actually, this was regarding TSV which is the humidifier. That's why I included the OT in the subject line. I guess it really does not matter because even the cosmetics TSV's have been all high priced as far as I am concerned. I don't know about you but when I think of TSV, I expect a real bargain. Easy pay along with free shipping should also or at least most of the time be included. You catch bees with just a little honey. With everything being mass produced this should not be a difficult task to accomplish.

HSN does the best job of any of the shopping channels with their incentives. Many of their TS's are offered with free shipping especially the higher end products. Almost always offer flex pay too.

I was tempted, but I didn't order after all. I do like Mally's items, but if I didn't like the primer it would be a total waste of money. Will wait for reviews. Didn't need anything anyway.

IMO today's TSV is really over-priced given the size. That is small.
