I have long naturally wavy hair and I live in Florida, so frizz can be an issue. I have begun getting away from retail "hair and skin products" for some time now. I detest all of the unsavory ingredients, the expense without the return, and detest synthetic silicones. Most products for frizz are loaded with them. It's broccoli seed oil. No, it doesn't smell like broccoli nor is it green. It has no scent, and it's gold in color. It's considered a "dry oil" in that it's not greasy so it doesn't "sit" on the hair, doesn't weigh it down, but instead is absorbed beautifully, and not only tames my frizz, but moisturizes it, repairs it, and gives me a lot of shine. Plus, it acts like a heat protectant if you blow dry your hair. I ususally just use a smoothing brush and my hair dryer on the outer pieces that tend to frizz, and let the rest air dry.

If you have been using silicone products, stop using them, use a clarifying shampoo to remove the buildup, then try a good dry oil and see if that works for you.

Is there any product out there that really tames frizzy hair? I never had frizzy hair as bad as what I have now. I have spent so much on products that promise to tame the frizz, but so far not one worked. Please do not suggest a keratin treatment. I am finished with them. My hair is now too thin. Last summer I had little frizz but thin stringy hair with no body for months. Thanks for your help

frizz is caused by too much protein in the hair.
Keratin wouldn't help anyway because it is all protein.
so you need to look for products that are more
moisturizing for the hair until it all balances out.

I've had luck with BIOSILK, before styling my hair I put a very small dab in the palm of my hand (depending on your hair length) and rub my palms together and smooth over my hair, a little goes a long way, it leaves my hair shiny and controls the frizz. You can purchase at Amazon, Walmart.

I can totally relate! I have a very difficult hair type (2C) in summer, (coarse, wiry, flyaway). It frizzes at the mere slight increase in humidity. I do think at home hair color helps keep the cuticle closed a little ( decreases frizz).
The only things I have found to control frizz is either a lot of layers of products ending with a good holding gel and hair spray- Or keratin treatment, which is expensive but magical. Nothing else controls my hair and I have drawers full of products that failed- Best wishes!

I have had many Keratin treatments in the past. Yes it took the frizz out but last summer I had no fizz but thin stringy hair with no body. It looked just as bad as what the frizz looks like, in a different way. When I do color my hair it is very slightly less frizzy for about a week.

I use a Redkin anti frizz product that is ok but doesn't make it 100% better. No way would I ever get a Keratin treatment. Many brands include Formaldehyde- be careful. Also thins the hair. I opt for a pony tail in hot weather!
